If LSU loses to Bama and then continues on to an 11-1 record

    the east has been garbage the last few years, and there's little sign it's improving next year.

    3 of those losses were to Auburn, so it's not like you're doing any of the work.

    bama has a win vs usc in that period, but that's beside the point.

    point was the west has dominated the east in recent years and usc hasn't done anything to disprove that.

    nor has anyone else from the east.

    Tied rolled out with a 14+ point loss last time they came to town if I remember correctly. I guess losing to teams that aren't worth a damn by more than 2 TDs is not a big deal to you though.

  • The hot team always gets the bump. I remember when FSU got in the title game an even shadier way in 1998 I believe. When Dat Nguyen and Texas A&M beat OU I think in the B12TG.

    We went from 4th to 2nd out of nowhere. haha. We were the shit though and now Bama is so just respect and work on your game.

    If Alabama runs the table and the final standings are #1 Alabama and several one loss teams, it would obviously depend on who the one loss teams are and who they lost to.

    LSU with one loss to Alabama would, without doubt be in the mix, but if USC loses to Oregon in the regular season and then beats them in the PAC 12 Championship game then I think USC gets the nod or the revers if Oregon loses wins out and then beats USC in L.A. then Oregon goes.

    Moral of the story is you need a perfect storm to get a rematch. You need the initial game to be a #1/2 v. #2/3, you need to win out, you need the team that beats you to do the same, you need there to be no other undefeated Big 5 Conference (Big 6 minus the big east) teams, you need no other top 5 team to have one loss to another top 5 team.

    Alabama/LSU and Oregon/USC seem to be the only teams capable of a rematch this year..
