If Rick Petino had never left Kentucky

  • How would he be viewed as a Head Coach right now? How many NC's would he had won? He had things at Kentucky in full beast mode when he was there. I don't think it would have ever let up. Probably the best run in modern day history would have happened if he stayed, iyam.

So true. He would have won at least 3they more by now. Even Tubby had them threatening at times, especially when Cliff Hawkins and Began were there. Rick would have had better players and better success

  • IF he had stayed and not had a lustful eye towards the NBA he would have 2 or more titles. He had things going well and could've had a little dynasty going.
I think he'd have left at somepoint anyway though cause he always wanted to get back to the NBA.
I'm surprised that he hasn't done better at UL since his return. He just isn't the coach he once was.

  • Doesn't he make more $ now though? He took Louisville from being a broke program to one of the most profitable in the land....it was an interesting move when it first happened but moving fwd I think he wins.
