I don't know what you're referring to, but I was simply taking numbers. I didn't make assertions what they meant, nor did I present those numbers that were favorable to only one party/person. I find it curious that Romney has such a margin with whites. I find it even more curious and damning for the future of the republican party, how poorly he's performing with minorities...

He's obviously going to perform poorly with minorities when he is going against a minority candidate. That shouldn't be surprising at all.

I'd be more worried about Mormons going crazy if Romney loses.

There won't be any riots. A lot of folks that supported Obama last time don't care enough to go out and vote this time anyway, and don't really care if he wins or not.

First off, you're disproving your own point. The kids in the back-woods white trash school also aren't given every possible advantage. Second, the percentage of minorities in these poor, inner-city schools in relation to the general minority population is significantly higher than the percentage of white people in Hickville, USA schools to the general white population. Especially if you only factor in the Black and Hispanic populations. And the kids in Hickville are probably more likely to grow up in an area that's not nearly as significantly impacted by drugs and violence. But I'd say neither of these groups have every opportunity or anything close to it. I'd urge you to visit an inner-city school that is known as a "bad school" and see how it impacts your perspective.

As for everyone else, are you saying that minorities who grow up in more affluent areas are largely unsuccessful even when they are given good opportunities? That's pretty crazy as well and untrue.

I'll absolutely argue that. The vast majority of inner-city school facilities and teachers aren't nearly up to the same level as private schools. The resources are lacking, and the students suffer as a result. Many inner-city schools don't have the resources to put together qualifying AP or IB programs. When college admissions committees sit down, they certainly don't look at whether or not your school offered these programs, they look at whether you completed them.

Hell, even outside the educational issue, when was the last time you heard of a wealthy white kid from private school getting gunned down in a drive-by while on his way home?
