If Saban wanted to half retire/coach my terps am ok with it

  • Yes am ok if 5 years or 7 years from now Saban. Wanted to play golf 4 times a week coach my Terps. Maryland would build hum 12 million dollar mansion. Pay him 6 million a year. Whatever he wants. To have Saban end his career as u of Maryland head coach. The man crush I have for that man is big time. He is better than any head coach doing it right now. Jordan in his prime. Ali knocking fools out cold.
Lance Armstrong riding around and getting it.

nah dude, didn't you watch ESPN circa 2007 and the forums? Saban is overrated, never won back to back 10 win seasons, and the Dolphins hate him cuz he moved on to greener pastures, he won't be able to outrecruit LSU or Auburn, and he's a meany. Saban will fail at Alabama

  • Saban isn't very impressive IMO, only one SEC title in his five years here. That's Mark Richt territory.

  • I'm not sure he could hack it in another conference. He was very mediocre in the B1G.

He's great because of the school he's at and what conference he's in. No rules in the SEC complete animals down there. If Saban actually had a challenge like ND he would be just another coach. Mediocre. He's really not all that great, just the position he's in. A perfect storm.

Saban is only great because he is at Alabama.

If a job makes every coach mediocre, wouldn't one day we have just consider the job mediocre.

  • I love how everyone hates on Saban. There aren't a whole lot of fans that hate ND now a days, because they aren't good. Vandy and Stanford are much better, but it's hard to get kids that make good grades and are good players. If NS is in the perfect storm then it must be a sunny day in Indiana.

Well I still think he could win a title at any school. Yes sec stands for. Some of us are extra cheating. But so are the other 11 $ec schools and right now he is Michael Jordaning people.

Holtz was 100 times better than Saban. If Holtz was the coach at Alabama he would have won 7 titles.
