If Trayvon had killed Zimmerman, should he be arrested?

  • Nicolae said...

Yes. I would be far more sad about the situation. Depressed even. However, I wouldn't have a son that thought he could just start swinging on some random dude because he was asked a question. Situation could have easily been diffused without a confrontation had Trayvon acted appropriately and either walked away or called the police. Instead, he started a fight, thinking he was Bruce Wayne and got what he had coming.

Where are you getting that trayvon just started swinging on gz? It frames your whole argument but it isn't factual.

Not sure how you know He started swinging on someone? If he did, good for him, the Zimmerman guy was pretty much stalking him. And I dont know for a fact, but I am sure he let him see his gun, yep, I would have tried to knock him out also.

If Zimmerman had stuck to phone chains and e-mail alerts, like his volunteer job entailed, this wouldn't have happened. Instead, he acted like he was a police officer or security guard.

The problem?Zimmerman was neither a police officer, nor a security guard.

Zimmerman was on a dangerous power-trip the night of February 26th, and will continue to be a danger to society into the future. For that reason, I hope they lock him up.

So you think he wasn't actually supposed to go out and watch the neighborhood? Just sit at home with a phone and computer peeking out the windows and calling/emailing everyone when he saw people? headslap

Sorry to burst your bubble, but he was fully within his rights to ask him any question he wished. Just like any other US citizen. That is what you are missing. Apparently you were taught that people must seek an audience to speak with you and it is within your rights to physically attack that person like Trayvon did if you didn't want them asking you questions. In America, it is perfectly ok to ask strange people in your neighborhood WTF they are doing there if you think them suspicious. They don't have to answer, but Martin's response of physical assault is not ok.

I do think Zimmerman could have handled this situation different and far, far better. It is folly to pretend that he is the one in the wrong here though, Martin brought this on himself.

Making the same assumptions all you Martin fellaters are. GZ is within his rights to follow him, it isn't stalking.

Not sure how you can be "pretty sure" he was waving his gun around, you weren't there either. However Billy Badass, I don't think you would try to knock him out. I think you would start crying. Or hang up on your stupid ass girlfriend and call the cops like a normal human being would.

Well, good for her. Was he part of her community? I am quite sure they don't train people to carry weapons, but has she specifically said that they train them to NOT carry? That it is specifically against the rules to carry while on watch? It isn't btw, and he was within his rights to have it.

Let's be honest too, if he didn't have that gun, Zimmerman would probably be dead today. All because he asked a suspicious person in his recently victimized neighborhood a couple of questions and the unstable kid snapped and beat him to death.

LOL at the old reverse racism example.

If it weren't for Affirmative Action, people like me wouldnt be considered for a lot of jobs. It's a necessary measure and it does hurt you but honestly shut the hell up if you think that you as a white male has it so tough in America.

    Yep.

Why you so bitter dude? All I said was that Affirmative Action is a necessary thing. How many bosses out there would actually deny a position to a minority I'll never know. But it is necessary.

Now did I ever say that African-Americans need Affirmative Action to get a job? Nope, that would be your misconceived assumption. I haven't made any excuses. I don't get why you made that leap.

I mean I have a pretty strong hunch, but I dont want to be a hypocrite and make an assumption about you personally.

  • Refer to our previous exchanges. He said I was making excuses that I wouldn't be able to get a job as an African-American without AA when all I said was AA is necessary for the the occasion that a boss might be prejudice to a minority. Not making an excuse that the whole world is against me and I need help.

Are you just stupid? He does have the right to question him, any citizen has the right to ask any other citizen any question they would like within reason and Trayvon was never detained, so that word doesn't even belong in this thread. Just as Trayvon had the right to turn and walk away, or call the police from his own phone. He didn't do that though, because he thought he was Batman and would just beat this guy down and cruise on with his day like nothing happened and that Neighborhood Watch doesn't have the right to speak to him.

That one fact should NOT trump everything else, either. I doubt you think that either, I think the actual thought you had was that a BLACK 17 year old is dead and that should trump everything else.

It is very sad that a 17 year old is dead here, but it was that 17 year old's fault. To amend your statement, "Without MARTIN, Martin would still be here."

So these are rights? Thats what you are saying? That Zimmerman has these rights?

The actual thought I had was a 17 year old is dead, and the only reason he is, is because Zimmerman was there, supposedly making the neighborhood safer.

How safe is any neighborhood when you have to shoot people?

What is more important than that? How is that not the single most tragic, important thing that happened?
