So basically you are incensed that a person made a MAJOR mistake as a tween but now that he's a stand out person as a 21 year old it matters zilch to you and he should still be ashamed and derided for it?

That's unAmerican, unforgiving, ungracious, and really just reveals to the entire board that you are secretly pissed at yourself about something. You don't want him to get forgiveness.

Daniel was pressured by his older cousin and has done everything by the book afterwards. I'll give him the benefit till he messes up and he has been a model citizen. His own cousin, whom he raped has spoke on his behalf.

My undergrad was Psychology. And to be honest, you sound more messed up than he is. I know Daniel, great guy. He, as a young man, basically didn't have the moral resolution to stop someone else from doing something.

You're an adult and sound like a potential murderer yourself.

I'm all for 2nd chances and believing a person can make a change in their life(I did it but Iwasn't a sexual predator) but some things can't be forgiven. Would you guys forgive a sexual predator if they did the same to someone you know? Highly doubt it. It's easy to forgive when it doesn't affect you. Those who have experienced sexual violence somewhere in their life or in someone they are close to's life, know that things like this aren't easily forgivable. It's a common trait for sexual predator's to be good natured people on their face. It's part of the facade. Doesn't mean that they don't harbor some sick shit inside their minds. If he's made a significant change in his life, good for him and i commend him but I need more than some biased fan's account. Show and prove.

Youre changing facts in this story to your benefit. The actual rapist was 17 and the girl was 14, not 9. And Daniel Hood never actualy did anything to the girl, he just didn't stop it because he was a scared 13 year old kid. So you're point would hold true if he did actually do that to his cousin, but he didn't so you don't make any sense.

Big difference between a predator and a scared 13 year old. Not to excuse what he did but it isn't something that should be held against him for the rest of his life especially if his own cousin has forgiven him. I agree with fsufsu you seem like you got some serious issues there yourself bud.
