Hey, I think that's more on the schools up north. I can remember (rather, read) when they didn't want USC because of academics...we showed them!

What school do you represent?

They don't need to, they will not dump USC or Stanford on their schedule...so who cares if they won't join the conference? It was a silly suggestion, and impractical for them to consider.

f*cking Oregon. Still haven't forgiven them for buying out those refs in 05...that was a BS call.

The states where those schools are growing faster than any other region in the country. So I've read.

I was there...swore I wouldn't go to another game until Hill was canned.

Lolz....check out our '14 OOC schedule. It's brutal for a non-AQ, and we'll be breaking in a new QB (Carr is a junior right now).

And it's even more glaring cuz '13's schedule is pure cupcake.

Hawaii's facilities are an embarrassment.

No Texas...they're conference killers, and we all share..not a good cultural mix for them or us. As far as religious schools...don't think for a moment that the schools up north would not jump on accepting Notre Dame if there was any way in hell for it to happen. I think the difference is...they would block the ultra conservative religious schools. Moron, Southern Baptist..etc.

We love the Hawaii trip, our fans show up there, and they love having us...or, our money rather. The California schools have never depended on football to fund anything, the money is there to do as we wish - Cal has simply not chosen to spend much on football or athletics above their academics.

Washington State is the school that really benefited by the new contract. Good for them.

Not sure where the Pac 12 would go as far as schools because the options are very underwhelming based on their current wants and criteria as far as facilities and academics. That said, the snooty attitude they have towards these smaller schools is gonna have to subside or they're gonna just get totally broken apart as the powers start to align together. Not entirely the Pac 12s fault in this whole expansion mess as I don't think all the leagues really have thought big picture on a ntional level. So far all the conferences are looking out for "me,me, me" instead of thinking about the long term national landscape. It's gonna come down to 4 "superconferences" down the line that are purely regional and rival based which means the Pac 12 as currently constructed will no longer exist. Probably looking at 4 12-16 team conferences with some schools being away from some of the schools they're used to playing. That means schools like Texas, Oklahoma and schools considered southwest will end up in the "western" superconference purely out of necessity. The bigger question and scenario for me is which schools get left out of the shift to superconferences. Schools on the borderline better start aligning their friends and lobbying for inclusion. Gonna be some pissed off schools with hurt feelings down the road.

Everyone's favorite FB trip, lol. At least, the second most favorite (arguably the Notre Dame trip, since we all stay in Chicago - and we take over the city) The university extends the stay as long as possible at Hawaii so the players and the band enjoy a day there after the game.

Nobody in the B12 will leave due to the Grant of Rights on their TV deal. Pac 12 missed their chance to add Texas, OU, OkSt, etc a few years back -- prior to GOR being signed. B12 also signed an annual bowl agreement with the SEC in Sugar Bowl.

OU, OKST, Texas are 'all in' for B12. They are concentrated on getting the best from ACC - FSU, Clemson, Miami, UL, GT, Pitt, SU. These schools fit well with B12's new toy, WVU. Don't be surprised if B12 goes for BYU.

Pac12's best options will be BYU (national fanbase), Nevada, New Mexico, Boise, Air Force, SDST, Fresno St...maybe SMU or Houston to get into Texas w/ non B12 schools. EDIT - Added UTEP.
