The PAC will stay at 12 rather than take any of the current "options". Can't see them overcoming their academic and cultural snobbery to take any of BSU, BYU, Fresno State, SD State et al.
Blows for my school, dunnit? Sigh.
It is what it is.

I think we have to be thinking tv markets for any more moves for the PAC. BYU is solid,UNLV good market, Boise? meh no, but they may move national/regional tv meters similar to the way WVU does so they may have more appeal than I think. San Diego State has a great tv market plus that Cali recruiting base to be a good watch sooner rather than later so maybe them? New Mexico is interesting.

The PAC doesn't have many good options unless they allow Texas to keep the LHN. BYU makes a lot of sense but they don't want religous schools(?). Hawaii would be good but is it worth the travel?

This is true.
They've had terrible leadership in their administration since 2007.
The location thing is money, costs them too much to travel all of the time in every sport.
They can recruit though, lots of local talent and draw from CA when they're good. Even with how bad they are right now they're going to have the best recruiting class in the MWC.

Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma & Oklahoma St.
9 game conference schedule with 7 divisional opponents and 2 rotating opponents. Conference championship at a rotating location, for example: Dallas, Denver, L.A., Seattle.
Pacific: Oregon, Oregon St., Washington, Washington St., Cal, Stanford, USC & UCLA
West: Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Arizona St., Texas*, Texas Tech, Oklahoma & Oklahoma St.
*If Texas and the rest of the potential PAC 16 couldn't come to terms, I think they would just take TCU and, based on the markets they would have access to, not worry about bringing Texas along.
