No problem with that. I'd take the OL and QB, to each his own.

You can still play the young guys in this fantasy world BTW. I just don't think the FL d-line of Werner/Jernigan/Powell/Dawkins/Jenkins getting past Kalil/Martin/DeCastro/Holmes with a very mobile QB like Luck back there.

I dont think I see that neither.

Foot-In-Mouth.... I aint shame to admit it.

No shame man it would be a hell of a match up. That DL is something serious.

Just because any of us think something would happen doesn't mean it would, those guys could knock Luck out.

Your back seven against Woods/Lee/Allen and Fleener would be a good match up too.

  • Lolz. Texas literally has it but they have nothing to show for it. That's why their not itt yet.

    Florida.

well it depend on which instate kids stayed instate . i would still count Georgia out

then take into account the 25/85 rule and i would say Bama untill Saban retires
because with less schools (per state) he'd really ink some talent .

  • I havent read through this thread, but I am a little confused. I thought the OP was asking if your state combined the talents of each college in a state what state would have the best college team. (note-regardless of where the recruits came from it was just combining the schools talent that is there now). Maybe I am interpreting the question wrong but if that is the question then I think the obvious answer is Alabama. 3 national championships in 3 years is hard to argue with.

But if the question was if recruits weren't allowed to leave their state and there was only one school to go to in their state, which state would have the most talent. I think that would be Florida with Texas in second and Cal, Georgia, and Ohio rotating 3rd place.

And who are these elite DE's been from these teams in Florida the last couple of years.

Howard Jaye, a DT, was the only DLineman drafted from the state of Florida last year.

FSU is projected to have 3 DE's drafted this year. 1 of whom is a first rounder (Brandon Jenkins) and the other 2 have a chance at 1st round too.

  • It'd be Florida iyam.

The defensive talent is too good in Florida.

We may lack OL compared to Texas, but we have enough OL to work 1 team.

Tunsil this year, Avery Young, the Pouncy twins, they are there if you look.

Also, QBs may surprise you in Fla. we did just have Tim Tebow.

RBs, WRs, and ALL defensive positions are unfairly in Floridas adv.

    3 NCs in 3 years?

Lay out who's played/won NCs since you were born. Florida dominates the list.

There's 10 NCs in Florida since 1980. That's 25% of the NCs in the last 40 years from our state.

I think Florida but i will say this if Mississippi only had one university that university would have won several championships in the last 20 years

  • It's gotta be Florida. I don't know how the thread got to be 6 pages but Florida has insane talent. No other state has rotated 3 programs that have won multiple national championships over the last 30 years like they have.

There's no doubt in my mind that it's Florida. Every single school goes to Florida for recruits.

This. Can't believe there's even an argument about it.

Im just guessing but I see Werner and Tank going first round and for some reason Jenkins being just outside or barely in the first round

But yes all 3 have a great chance of being high draft picks

I can't wait to see how good all 3 are now, Tank made incredible progression from game one to the last

I agree. I went back and watch the games... Tank got better and better and better.... he stopped the run, he got pressure and sacks on the QB.... Tank balled out Tue last 4 or 5 games.... once he adjusted to the speed of d1 game he was killing it.... Tank to me is just as good if not better than Werner after seeing the season again.... all 3 are great DE and all bring a different style

I feel so sorry for the 2 dickweeds we start out with

Especially the replacement for WVU, Savannah St I think lol....... they won't be able to gain positive yardage more than 2% of the plays they run

That is why I liked him better than Werner, I love Werner but most QB's can get away from him when they see him coming

Not Tank, he jumps on you once he zeros in and there isn't much you can do about

Tank is gonna be a freaking stud this year

And Jenkins looks HUGE too, not sure if its cause #4 makes him look bigger or if he is just a solid animal that packed on even more good weight

I agree... Tank is a killer.... I got blasted for saying he is just as good or even better..... as if I was taking away from Werner..... both are elite.... but Tank us just a monster and a physical beast... speed, strength, quickness, power

  • judging from last yr and making 1 team from all in state schools (not where kids are from) id say;

fla, (the u, fla st and fla)

    bama (bama, auburn)

    texas (texas, baylor, am)

    cali (stanford, usc)

    michigan (um, msu)

actually, michigan would compete pretty darn well with msu's d (plus some um d lineman) and um's o (with msu's receivers and rb's) that would be a tough team...denard to cunningham, molk blocking for baker and bell...

good luck getting these 2 together tho (better chance of getting peace in the middle east)

p.s i know i left some schools out of each state (ucla, cal for example)
