  • who would you take to start a recruiting class, Foster, Nkemdiche, or Clowney?

    It is neck and neck between those 2 for me. If we played in a 43 I would say Clowney but since we run a 34 i think Nkemdiche is better for us....still I would take Foster over either.

    Foster has all the intangibles to be one of the all time greats at the LB spot.

    I sure hope so. I can say even with all our most recent LB's, he has the potential to be better than them all.

    I think as a pure pass rusher no doubt. I honestly do believe that if you lined he and Nkemdiche up in a run stopping drill of some sort, then Nkemdiche would have more success. Not as fast as Clowney but def stronger.

    Overall I do believe Clowney is a better player but not by a whole lot.

  • You are trying to compare 3 guys. 2 who are defensive linemen and 1 who is a LB. Also, 1 of these guys has played a full year of sec football and 2 haven't even played their senior year of high school. Makes no sense.

    If I could pick 1 I would pick Clowney because at least I have some idea of how successful he will be. I have no idea how good the other 2 will be in college.

    Maybe it's just me but I don't get it. Carry on though.

  • There's no right/wrong answer, but Nkemdiche isn't touching Clowney's stats/productivity as a HS DE prospect. He gets to run the ball a lot more, so he'll have more offensive numbers but I haven't seen a 95+ yard TD run from Robert (although I'm sure some Bama fan has video of one somewhere, ready to link).

    As far as run stopping goes, it's discipline based and Clowney was asked to get to the QB as a freshman, not stop the run.

    Exactly, there is not right or wrong here. All 3(one has already proven) are gonna be good in college. So I just want to see who people would start out with if they could only have one.
