If you were a top recruit, where would you go? And why?

Holy shit, you're the definition of Forrest Gump if you think for a minute that Bama is a better choice than ND. You HAVE to be inbred to think that. Are you fvcking kidding me??? Wow. The stupidity on this board never ceases to amaze me.

NO WONDER THE FVCKING SOUTH IS STILL LIVING IN A TIME WARP. WITHOUT THE INTERNET OR CABLE, YOU GUYS WOULD STILL BE IN HORSE AND FVCKING CARRIAGE.

Jesus Christ you guys need to wake the F up... There's NO WAY YOU CAN COMPARE NOTRE DAME'S LEGACY, HISTORY, ABILITY TO GET PEOPLE TO THE NFL, ACADEMIC STANDARDS, FANBASE AND ALUMNI TO GET YOU A JOB AT THE GREATEST COMPANY BEFORE/AFTER FOOTBALL TO ANYBODY ELSE.

It's not happening. Good day and enjoy your grits tomorrow morning. SMH to the tenth power.....

    Mods please ban this person.

I'm pretty sure a Stanford degree is worth more than a Notre Dame degree

Yup. Stanford architecture and ND's Mendoza school of business are both seen as industry leaders but on average you're correct. Forbes even has Stanford listed at #3 ahead of Harvard and ND at #12...alabama floating somewhere around 250-300 fyi.

  • LOL at spending my college years in the North. No thanks, not if I can help it.

  • Wr at georgia or usc. I like those two schools other then the homer response of Miami

Doesn't say, that's why I mentioned the 2 programs from both schools. ND's school of business would be better than any old degree from Stanford but Stanford is just better across the board. Every school has a program or 2 that really standout as does 'bama, Forbes is probably just looking at cost of school/value of degree/ exclusivity/ private or public/etc. to get an 'overall ranking'.

    SCirish843

  • Depends on my motivations and position.
If I just want to tap fine tail - Pac 12 (USC, Oregon, ASU)

WR, - tOSU, TT- tOSU has put some very good WR's in the league so tOSU

DE- tOSU, Purdue, LSU- See Above

RB- Wisky, Oklahoma, or Bama- tOSU has put some very good RB's but the numbers aren't there- toss up between the other two

QB- This one is tough because the schemes between college and pro are so different but here goes- Oklahoma, USC, and maybe Michigan (this is a historical reference, hasn't produced shat since Carr but will see when new staff gets rolling) Prolly USC for QB's in the league and tail

CB- tOSU, LSU, FSU- Leaning tOSU on this one but it has been thin last couple of years

Safety - UF, LSU, Miami- UF.... Nice tail here as well and not as much a Hurricane threat.

DL- Bama, LSU- to close to call

OL- Iowa, Wisky, Bama, (tOSU- made significant improvement this year with a different staff, ask me later)- Iowa

  • I'm a huge notre dame fan 16 years old and I wouldn't consider notre dame for a second. I'd go to USC or Florida. I live and south bend and the weather here is brutal can't deal with it any longer

    jwood05

  • #1 Vanderbilt or Stanford for the education
#2 for Pure Football and Chance at the NFL have to say Bama
#3 Elite Passing QB go to Pac 12 School where they like to pass the ball a lot.

    dcole001

  • We all saw what Notre Dame did to Jimmy Clausen.

    TeddyG

  • South Carolina because of obvious homer reasons.

Hawaii might be fun too. Dominate, hang out in Hawaii for three years, and be a legend when you leave. Not a bad deal.

  • Have to go somewhere with education and great football. Location location location is also a big thing.

Michigan- Ann Arbor is a great college town and football is huge and school is great.

    Wisconsin- Same thing

Stanford- I don't know about Palo Alto as a town but great academics and they're gonna be solid for a while

Notre Dame- Great football program and school but I've been told even by fans that South Bend kinda sucks

USC- Women, football, academics, and probably a lot more.

Texas- maybe not right now since Mack seems to be getting towards the end, but once they hire a new coach.

    UMWolverines

  • Ohio St for obvious reasons,

But if I had to choose somewhere else... UF, small college town, good atmosphere. Always a good program. (I've never been to Bama but I'd take a visit there too)

If you were a highly sought after recruit that could basically go to any school in the country, where would you go and why? For disclaimer purposes put which school you would go to and which team you are a fan of. The school you decided to go to could be the same that you're a fan of, but list reasons why you'd select them. I'm interested in the answers TBB will yield.

QB- Psu- BOB turned the second worst qb I'm the B1G (worst qb was the guy Mcgloin was splitting time with) into the best passer in the B1G
RB-Bama-Ingram and Richardson were both 1st round pix
Wr-USC- PAC defenses blow and USC has a pass heavy offense.
TE- PSU- BOB's offense is TE oriented
    OL-Bama
    DL-Bama
LB-LBU-nobody has more influential lb'ers in the league than PSU
    DB-Idk

  • Leaving BAMA out I would choose from FSU ,Miami ,USC and tOSU. I'd most likely end up at FSU but spend most my time at FAMU..

  • I guess they teach you how to use CAPS at ND though... Wow. You are the inbred idiot. So much hate in this one.

Did you get passed over by a Bama grad at your job or something?

    What a loser

    viper_36

  • Leaving Bama out...

USC - always thought it'd be cool to go to school in LA. Been there many times for work and think it would be cool.

Legacy, heismans, winning also help out. Oh yea and USC chicks in sweaters.

  • Miami

I'd love to be a white corner and make it to the NFL from Miami. Plus it is my #2 school that I'm applying to next to UMD.

    oriolekid

  • Not including my school, Stanford for FBS. Would also consider Northwestern, Duke, Vanderbilt, and Wake Forest.

Went to USC and loved it.

  • Bama isn't even the top team in the SEC they aren't even in the top three in players in the NFL in the SEC. It goes LSU, UGA, UF, and then Bama

Edit: Just checked the numbers again and Bama and UF are tied for third with 31 in the NFL.
