....this bowl season for the first time in my life. I hope they beat Northern Illinois by 100. Kirk was right, it's an absolute abomination they got into the BCS. Do your part FSU, blow them out

Does the Orange have to pick any mid major that finishes in the top 16? I can't imagine any bowl taking a NIU team that just lost their head coach over Oklahoma.
Would have much preferred the FSU vs. Louisville and Florida vs. Oklahoma setup.

I don't think it's automatic. I can't believe these is ever a situation where they take some random MAC team over OU. Florida vs OU would have been a pretty decent game at least.

orange bowl had the last pick of the AQs this year so we got stuck with the scraps. ACC is always guaranteed the orange bowl and the big east gets it every other year i think and on off years it gets an at large bid, kinda like the fiesta

They also have to be ranked ahead of an AQ conference champion (in this specific case NIU is ahead of Louisville and Wisconsin).

There are only two BCS Bowls (including the NC game) that are worth watching this year. Half of the top ten is going elsewhere while an unranked team and a non-BCS conference team is getting in. There is no credibility left. It's no longer a big deal to say "we got into a BCS bowl". In before Hoover High School gets a bid

This is the worst game possible for FSU
Their nervous bullshit will cost them against a team that has everything to prove
People are hating on them hard and that will motivate the shit out of them
It shouldn't even matter but FSU really sucks

If a AQ champ finishes outside the top 16 in BCS standings (Louisville and Wisconsin) then if a Non AQ champion is ranked 16 or higher in the BCS, that team will go to a BCS bowl. They did this because of Anti Trust issues and gave a way in for Non AQ teams to get in. At the time, no one thought they would get in.
I lost a sig bet. that is why I have these sigs until November 7, 2013.
