I posted about this last night, but it has disappeared. IDK what happened.
In short, the word "till" is absolutely, 100% correct. It is older even than the word "until" and is perfectly acceptable grammar in any circle. It comes from Old Norse and has been a word since at least the 800's. In English, it has had it's current meaning since at least the 1300's. The word "until" actually derived it's meaning from the word "till." The shortening "'til" is technically incorrect in written, scholarly English. It didn't show up in written English until the 20th century.

Not because of our new logo and colors, I love those. Not because I'm a long-suffering Nets fan, I'm long over that.
I'm upset because of this shirt. I love the Beastie Boys, I'm a Nets fan, and this shirt is so, so, so damn cool - BUT THEY SPELLED "TIL" INCORRECTLY. "Til," as in the truncated slang version of "until," has one "L" in it. A "till" is what comes out of a cash register, or you can "till' some farmland, but (not to be confused with "til" which has one "L") these versions of the word have two.
No joke, if this shirt was spelled correctly, I'd have ordered it already. Please, someone share my sentiments ITT, or direct me to somewhere who has the shirt with the correct spelling...sigh.

I'm a Nets fan, and I'm heated.
