Sorry for the kids, but F it. If life is constant drama and every holiday is filled with bickering, snide remarks, and silent treatment- I say you're better off and so are the kids. Life is too short and if you're able to have a more meaningful relationship with your children without the anchor around, I say good for you. Who deserves to live with everlasting tension when it's unnecessary?

Myself, being a 19 year old still living at home was put into this situation as a teen. Last year around Christmas time my mom approached my sister and I and said she wanted to separate with my dad. It was a very difficult Holiday and there really wasn't no joy...
