I'm gonna say it. LSU is going to be wildly

  • Overrated coming in to this year and lose 2 games. I just don't see what everyone else see's I guess. They are breaking in a Georgia cast off at QB, replacing a great CB, and a few others. Don't see it.

    IYAM, they are not overrated in terms of talent, but overhyped. It'll be another year since 1958 IMO. Still a great team though.

  • They have great team in the trenches. Good RB's, playmakers at WR, and a good LB'er core. If Mettenberger plays solid on defense, and their secondary is good (I expect it will be) no reason they can't contend for Natty.

    Who beats them? Maybe us but no Petrino, a 3 year rebuilding Auburn team, the mississippi schools plus a new team to the SEC sums up the west.

    Florida won't beat them and I forget their other sec east school they play probably won't either

    Talent wise, I agree. They have it. It won't come together and win an SEC or National Title.

    On paper? Probably only us. But I can see them slipping up a couple times.

    I just don't see it against any west teams but us unless they come out incredibly flat. The talent difference at Bama/LSU compared to the rest of the west is enormous. Arky was getting better but their talent was above average at best under Petrino

    DL will be better than last year.

    Didn't trip up last year during the season. As a matter of fact, bama did.

    But u got the one that mattered but now that Les has an undefeated reg season, people can't grasp it happening again.

    UGA may make some noise this year with that pathetic excuse of a schedule they have but I don't see them beating either Bama or LSU in the SEC championship game

    Then you still have a possible SECCG against either UGA or USC again and then a possible BCSNG against a tough team like USC.

    Definitely a spot there for one loss.

  • We can revisit this thread again when the season gets underway. I like Les as a coach and I I think LsU has great talent. I really think the SEC will be stronger top to bottom this year than it's been in a long time.

    Pretty sure CBS had to give ESPN first choice of one game next for moving Bama-LSU to a night game. rumor has it ESPN is going to take it this upcoming game next year and it will be a night game. FWIW
