It just takes longer for some people to accept reality than others. For anyone under 50, Joe was a the head coach for their whole lives and all we heard was about him doing things "the right way". It is hard to imagine him failing so miserably.
You guys are pulling people's reactions on from a PSU football message board. It's safe to say that they are more emotionally attached to Paterno than the average Penn State alumni/fan/student. And really, if you look on our board, even his supporters say that he did wrong. They are just having issues with figuring out how to balance the good that he did for our school with the bad.
I have no problems with it (IMO, we need to remove everything "Paterno" on campus), but I don't expect all PSU fans to be like me.
