In your opinion, who's the most overrated player in the 13 class

  • Jaylon Smith may be the most naturally talented player in the class and he's overrated. Sure. The kid has dominated every camp, combine, game and event he's been to this year. He's got great size(6'3 225), athleticism, speed and knows how to play the position. Dude was covering and locking down WRs at a couple of camps this year in coverage. He's gonna be bigger than both Foster and Thomas, he's faster than both(close with Thomas), on par athletically with Thomas and the only one of the 3 that could play any of the 3 LB spots. Foster is inside only and Thomas weakside only(or strongside depending on how the team's scheme runs, at LSU he'd be SLB). Smith is a beast and really there is no question about it. There's a reason every site has him as a top 5 player.

    Over-rated doesn't mean he sucks you simple idiot, it means he is over-rated... a 4 star can still be all the things you mention pretty much and a great player overall

    But giving 5 stars to a kid for owning Indiana football and playing in shorts is just stupid, on so many levels

    Every site had Fred Rouse as a top 5 player too, how about Myron Rolle ? every site ? every site is loaded with people working for them that don't have an effin clue

    Thomas Tyner = give me a break, or right I forgot... he runs really fast in shorts and a t shirt... maybe this is a track site, not sure anymore

    So did Barry Jr, doesn't mean Im a fan of either one though

    I don't think Tyner actually sucks, but when I see him ranked ahead of guys like Ryan Green, Smoke Mizell among others, I can't help but laugh

    Not that Im blaming you, Im just a homer when it comes to kids who play real competition in high school

    Tyner is an amazing athlete but that doesn't always translate into a football player... especially at RB, which IMO is a position that requires a certain manhood to excel at the next level

    We will see how he does in due time

  • No way Treadwell is the #5 overall recruit in the country as ranked by Rivals.

    If you did a draft with CFB coaches, I don't know if Treadwell is picked in the top 25.

  • Anzalone by far.. Elijah Daniel is up there as well. Kid played at Avon and the competition sucks. Put up average numbers against bad competition.

    Not trying to start crap here, but does him switching on ND at the last minute have anything to do with that or do you honestly believe he sucks.

    A lot of Gator fans say the kid won't make it at linebacker, i suck at evaluating players so i have no idea. He's listed at 6'3 229 or w/e sees like the right size to play LB.

    Star has never been that high on him, even from the start before he committed to anybody

    I don't hate Alex, nor do I love him

    I don't understand his rating but at the end of the day, with proper coaching... he could be a great LB, or he will just be a dependable player that doesn't wow you, nor will he drive you nuts with terrible play

    I do think Alex is ten times better than Rolin, for Rolin imo will get buried behind the skill and speed of Florida kids at LB

    The difference between guys like Hearns, McMillian and others UF will sign down the road is astronomical compared to somebody like Matt Rollin

    I agree that a good player can be overrated, but Jaylon Smith also shined in the Army American bowl. Pretty sure that game is played in pads against 'non-Indiana' kids right?
