Depends I would think. USC fans know that Kiffin can at least recruit with the best of them and they need that with the scholly limitations just now hitting them. Nobody can question Peterson's coaching ability but his recruiting skills are yet to be seen.

If they could get Peterson, I would jump at it if I were Haden. I just personally think Kiffin is a douchebag, so it can't get much worse for them in my eyes.

Kiffin is perceived to be able to recruit(i believe he can so I'm not saying that) but I'd like to see how he'd do without Big Ed on the staff. Orgeron can recruit for sure but imo very similarly to Kiffin, it does no good if he can't coach up the talent he brings in. Orgeron loaded Ole Miss with talent but he couldn't coach for shit. Kiffin looks the same to me. All he's doing is stocking the roster for the next coach. Jimbo Fisher like.

I guess SC was just punishing themselves, they were a very average recruit in the 90's. JC probably had them as a 3 Star. (Perhaps that decade they recruited Ucla players instead of themselves).

But every decade besides that they have pretty much been 5 Star All-Americans.
