  • JC - This is an example that highlights why LSU fans are extremely peed but other fans should be too. Here a few example of how big a joke ESPN is. (Scout is a hair better). If you are't a player at "The Opening" or an all star game good luck getting properly evaluated by them.

    Ill start with our commit last night.....Rashard Robinson.

    Now lets look at Tredavious White

    Again, fair evaluations and rankings are why people come here. There are some people that are more peed than you guys realize I believe. I think if you guys remove ESPN, everyone can live with Scout. Please let us know what the powers think of this as I know alot of people are waiting to see if you guys address this concern.

    One thing you also have to keep in mind is that this thing will update when other networks update their rankings/ratings. Everybody is on a different schedule for sure. It may be a little out of whack for a time, but everybody finishes up the first week of January, it's all locked in and the entire thing is designed to get the best, purest ranking/rating in the end because that's ultimately all that matters.

    One the individual player evaluations, ours are still in tact and listed first on the prospect pages and we are getting them added to the commit lists ASAP.

  • I don't understand why 247 would get rid of their team rankings. I think this is a cool feature, but I think 247sports should show their own team rankings also.

  • Sorry to come off so strong, JC.. Just people on our homeboard are pretty upset about this so I was just bringing it to your attention. I mean, 17 4**** guys and ranked 10th? I personally don't care where we are ranked but it seems a lot do care.. Thanks for all the work you guys do.

    Do you personally feel like ESPN's evaluations are respectable? Do you think they do their homework?

  • The rankings are fun and everything, but our coaches are the last and most important word. If they're doing their jobs, they're recruiting players that fit the program and it's needs/weaknesses.

    All the rankings do is giving you a little bragging rights, but they don't mean much on gameday if your coaches are recruiting only stars.

    I'm going to throw in my 2 cents, not that it matters but why would I want to have rankings that include services which are HORRIBLE. The whole reason I use Rivals and 247 is because I trust THEIR evaluations. By doing this you somewhat discredit 247 if you use these as your own "team rankings"

    If you are still going to have 247's own Team Rankings than this is a mute point of course but when I pull up Team Rankings I see this composite.

    mute point? Guess spelling correctly is not required at your school. Does not speak well of your academic standards.

    We do. We over 247Sports ratings/rankings and 247Composite ratings/rankings for everything we do.
