Honestly - I could give a rats ass about the Teo situation - he is gone and it will have no reflection on the team next year whatsoever. The kid will have to do some damage control and in 1 week - nobody will care.

Hell, our fanbase has the same issues when it comes to our program as well so I'm not pointing fingers. Just saying that you shouldn't throw stones when you live in a glass house.

Big John, I'm going to post what I just did in another thread just so you know my thoughts on this. I blasted PSU as a school A LOT MORE than I will Notre Dame for the reasons I'm about to re-post. With PSU it was heads of institutions involved in a coverup. I don't blame Notre Dame as an institution at all for this.

I feel that this is one of those situations that I have argued with people that you have to separate from the university or program that you root for.
I have no worse of an opinion of Notre Dame over this then I did before I knew what happened. It's not the universities fault. They weren't paying the kid to come to their school, they weren't giving him any benefits over this for sure. I mean this goes on the kid completely.
I won't argue with a Notre Dame fan over this unless he wants to argue about the issue itself. If you want to back up, or I guess anyone else that wants to back him up, then I'm going to argue with you about the situation. I think Notre Dame fans need to realize this. We aren't coming after your program. We want to know what the kid did and fill in the holes. It seems to me like a bunch of Notre Dame fans think that most of us are taking it personal against their football program.
Maybe some are, but for me personally, I don't blame the institution for one iota of this other than letting him continue the BS after they knew what was going on. This still shouldn't be a black eye on their school. This is something that Te'o is going to have to deal with on his own. God bless ND for trying to help him as much as they can, but this was his own doing and had nothing to do with the school.
