Was 2Pac very poverty stricken? I really don't know but I don't think that he was all that poor growing up. I could be wrong, but didn't he take acting lessons and things like that from a private school growing up?

Again, not trying to downgrade the guy because he was good. I just put people like Rakim, biggie, Jadakiss, half of the Wu Tang Clan, Andre 3000, KRS-One and others above him. I just put lyricism above all other categories when looking at rappers.

Actually DMX is underrated. He may have turned out to be a crackhead but the guy could still rap.

Also the guy that said that guys that rap about "boats and ho's" or whatever, all rappers have songs about things along that line. 2Pac doesn't have his songs about those kinds of things either.

Well I posed it as a question didn't I? I haven't read the guys biography or anything. I admitted that I didn't know.

I do remember his parent's background with the black panthers and that he was basically born in a jail, but I thought he went to private school in his teens.

I remember something about him and jada pinkett going to school together.
