IIRC Byrd made nationals in the 60 last spring but didnt really have any great times. I don't really follow track though.

I think he would be the number 1 pick if he was able to go to the draft this year. This kid has a legitimate beef to challenge the rule about having to be 3 years out of high school to enter the draft. I know that he's not going to, but he would have a legitimate case. I think he actually wants to win the Heisman, and I personally think he will. After Te'o came so close to being the first full time defensive player to win it, I think the voters will finally give the award to one.

They apparently don't see losing 2 badass OTs being a problem .

It cracks me up that Manziel's highlight play that gets shown is fumbling to himself and throwing a TD after y'all's D left their coverage responsibilities.

It has already been challenged in court and lost. It was agreed to by the NFL owners and NFLPA. Clarett tried to sue to get the rule waive and the Federal court said no way. He could go the CFL but most do not bc it is not worth it.

Clowney isn't going to have any part of that. Kid is a football player. He's not a pvssy. Kid wants to play.

Huh? Peppers is a great player but that dude took an entire year off when he played for the Panthers. All that talent and he had a year where had 2.5 sacks. Trust me, Pepp takes plenty of plays off. Clowney, not so much.
To be fair, I think with elite pass rushers there are always going to be plays where it appears he's not giving effort. Guys that are as gifted physically as Peppers and Clowney, there is almost an expectation that they will do something incredible on every play and when they don't you hear, "He's not playing hard." But to say that without knowing what his responsibilities were on that particular play is silly. Sometimes, his job is to the seal the edge. Sometimes he's sitting back, looking for a screen. DE's aren't just coached to rush wildly up the field on every play.
I remember our season opener against Vandy. It's still the 1st quarter and one of those dolts in the booth for ESPN was talking about how Clowney wasn't playing that hard. Look, his hands are on his hips. He's gassed.
It was utter nonsense. He puts his hands on his hips as soon as exits the locker room. Just how he stands.

Yep. There was a reason the local sports talk morning show in Charlotte would do a Peppers tracker segment every Monday and in it they would chart every single play where he was in the game and would note how many times he was blocked one on one vs. doubled or chipped, how many times plays were run in his direction, how many times he dropped into coverage, etc. It was shocking how often he'd have games where he was largely a ghost despite being blocked one on one by the tackle for most of the game.
Not saying Pepp is a talent because he is but that guy would disappear for weeks on end when he played here.
