  • They gave up 300 yards passing. When Alabama does that (1 time in around 2 years) they have been exposed, ran over, secondary is weak, blah, blah, blah.

    no

  • I still believe KSU is the only team that plays the style of football to contend with Alabama. Notre Dame comes to mind, but they don't have near the offense to even make it a game with Alabama.

fingergun only SEC teams can struggle on the road against bad teams from their conference, but when another teams does it they are not a top 10 team.

  • All you gotta do is win and that is what FSU did.

Alabama beat a team in similar fashion (lsu) and we all know lsu is not worthy of their ranking, yet the SEC hype creates them. Bama knows abt playing a mediocre qb(yet plays well) in a tough environment, so please, keep your homerish on your on site.

Fsu won. Can't say fsu plays consistently as #2 in nation, but we have a top 5 team in most weeks (sans vt and ncsu games).

  • Fsu could beat just about any team in America..problem is they don't play up every week..but they are very talented. The game against the gators will be must see tv!

I don't get this bashing the SEC hype thing. Every other conference in the country has had 6 years to show up and everyone keeps shitting the bed. Aint our fault.

If FSU had a legit Oline, yeah, they could beat ANYONE. Trickett needs to hit the streets.

Look at Wall Street and any other facet of life: history is an indicator of what happened in the past and is NOT an indicator of future success. YES, the SEC has won in the past, but I am not sure how you can say the SEC is some juggernaut this year. Look at the rankings and the reasonings we get for the SEC teams: "well, they play in the SEC." The SEC has Bama.......and then some other teams. UGA beat Florida, but lost to USC. UGA has one "quality win". USC had a magical game and UGA did everything wrong. UGA is a good team, but definitely has its flaws. UF: your defense is stout. Your offense continues to be your caveat. Texas A&M is the #2 team in the SECw right now.

To have a 2 loss LSU team and a 2 loss USC team above any other teams without 2 losses is just comical. To the rest of the country, it is quite obvious that the SEC is hyped well over it's actual. Just because you have one great team does not make your conference great. The SEC is good, but it sure seems the media puts you on a pedestal.

Again: if the SEC loses to another SEC team, then that loss is a 0.5 loss. Yet, if an SEC team loses to a non-SEC opponent, it's obviously a fluke to the media and the rankings should retain itself.

You're missing the premise of what I am saying, but it is hard to argue with someone who can't see a forest because of the trees.

Good luck against Manziel. Kid looks great.

I completely agree with LSU and SCar's rankings. Don't agree with them at all. LSU has no business still being a top 7 team after 2 losses. You might think you're good, but your record says otherwise. I'm not saying the SEC is a juggernaut this year either. I don't rank the SEC's significance until bowl season is over. Last year is a wash I don't even count that because I thought Oklahoma State should have honestly gotten in. Beside that though, you can't argue that national championships are what define your program and nowadays, I guess, define your conference.

UF was a laughing stock in 06. Kirk Herbstreit blew out his left nut defending Michigan. What happened? Florida took a massive dump on the state of Ohio and Michigan got raped by USCw. It's hard to argue any other team was better or would have beaten the SEC's last 6 national champions. OU's offense in 08 was the greatest offense in college football history and UF held them to 14 points.

Again, I know you're talking about this year and who's to say the SEC is still a juggernaut, but until someone comes along and knocks us out, we'll still hold that perception. I think it'll take just one NC game loss to spread the love evenly again but it needs to happen and the rest of the country needs to get their shit together and beat one of us in the only game that matters. I honestly think Oregon, ND, and K State could beat Alabama. And I'm really pulling for Notre Dame to get in that game. What an epic showdown that'd be. Notre Dame vs. Alabama.
