I don't call them anything. I don't label people. If you're from Florida, you're a Floridian to me, not a southerner, rebel, yahoo, etc etc etc... If you're from Michigan, it's Michigander, correct?

I don't think people would really talk about Lincoln much if he hadn't cut down that cherry tree and got that whole "Honest Abe" thing going. IMNSHO
