Is Makers 46 the best bourbon for under $45 ever?

has some the other day and it was amazing but had no idea it was really that cheap ; got to be something wrong with that price as that is some of the best i have ever tasted

No such thing. Just look at my signature and you'll know I know what I'm talking about.
FYI - Maker's 46 is a pile of crap. It has a very smooth taste but doesn't taste like bourbon. When I drink bourbon (and I'm drinking Maker's NOW) I want to taste bourbon.
If you want a good bottle under $45 try Woodford Reserve.

no question it is smooth and i really dont like much of anything with a bite and if i do i will attempt to drink port ...wow

I have not tried Makers. The smoother the better, for my taste I like Crown. How do they compare?

Not even close IMO. Makers is far and away better. I hate canadian whiskey though so I might now be the best to ask. I think Pendeltons is a better canadian whiskey than Crowne.
