Remember USC fans I just got done calling Kiffin a future all timer the other day so I am not flaming you all.
Reading reports from all the camps this summer you'd think he was a high four star. #1 in one review, next camp he's listed as someone who struggled, next camp he's listed 3th or 5th depending on the site.
Him being #2 overall seems like a farce.

JC sad he was very impressive yesterday and stood out. He played very well at the opening and was named the best qb there by this site.
"Browne was very impressive. Goff too. Malik Zaire has gold cleats- sweet."
"If you just consider the 7-on-7 work- Cooper Bateman, Kevin Olsen, Anthony Jennings, Woulard and Max Browne all stood out, along with Jared Goff at times. Shane Morris was best overall yesterday. I thought Browne was best overall prospect the first session."
Have they even started today?

No site is saying he struggling. Mike Farrell over at Rivals rated him the 7th best performer yesterday out of 25. From reading Mike Farrell's comment Max Browne seems like a pretty good QB, a fairly cerebral signal caller with good accuracy and a good, but not great arm strength.
However the truth is until their is a pass rush the defense is running complex coverages you won't find out what a QB has. However, these camps give you a good feel for the physical tools each QB has and they give you a quick feel (not good feel) for how they handle the mental parts of the game (7 on 7), though again without a pass rush and complex defenses, you are not getting the same feel for the mental side as you are of their physical tools.

). Max Browne is were he needs to be and so far he has shown that..only time will tell if he's a burst or star.
Is Max Browne overrated?
