    No I was busting Irish's shit because he took the bait. Im not a homer but I will go ahead and say it. This ND team is a little better than the team we beat in the Chumps bowl but so is FSU blah blah we got beat by NC State, but you cant tell me ND got that much better. The Wake shit is comical though. We could get beat by them on any given night but FSU could do the same to Notre Dame. Congrats on the win, Bama would crush you

    I'm an Alabama fan. Alabama went 7-6 in 2007 and 12-2 in 2008. I can tell you that a team can improve by leaps and bounds in 1 season.

    It all comes down to turnovers. ND was like -11 in turnovers in the games they lost last year. Cut those in half and there are 2-3 more wins. Last year was a 10 win team that found a way to be an 8 win team. Theyve allowed 5 rushing TDs in the last year and a half. They are legit.

    BTW, Bama would crush FSU by at least 4 scores.

  • Here is your answer...OU's losses have come to 2 top 4 teams. If my team had 2 losses, I would hope it would come to 2 of the current top 4 teams in the nation. OU is a good team, as is ND, both have work to do still.

  • I said at the beginning of the year that Notre Dame was going to be a lot better than most people thought. Right now, I think they're the second best team in the nation. I don't buy K-State's legitimacy as they play in a conference that doesn't play defense, and Oregon is typically exposed by tougher defenses (Bama would kill them). Frankly, I'd like to see a Notre Dame/Alabama NC game. I think ND has a great chance at going undefeated and with the great recruiting they've done, they might have enough talent to make an NC game vs. Bama interesting. Just my thoughts. This is also coming from a guy who hates Notre Dame.

    Good post. I was actually about to say that Notre Dame reminds me a lot of Bama's 2008 team. Very good in the trenches, and although maybe lacking a little fire power, they have guys that make big plays when they're needed.

    Notre Dame is legit. If any 3 of Bama, ND, Oregon, and Kansas St go undefeated, I still think ND gets in. Just don't see the pollsters leaving them out. The hype (not undeserved) is just beginning, IMO.

    Also, if K St loses and another offensive player like AJ, Barner, DAT, or someone like doesn't come out and do something amazing on a big stage, T'eo could end up with the Heisman as well.

    nd fumbled away a few games last year...usf, usc come to mind (14 point turn arounds)
    um just lucked out against nd.
    they resembled more of a 10 win team...move to this year, great d and running game, great turnover margin.
    bama 07 lost every game by 7 points or less, so 2008 was not too far fetched because of the talent infusion and experience.

    looks like i'll have to watch nd a little closer this season.

  • Teams normally don't start being bad until AFTER Notre Dame kicks their ass, thus Notre Dame can't ever be good.

    Vegas had OU as 12 point favorites, with most lines opening up around 10. Evidently, the people out there don't know what they're doing and OU just really isn't that good. The whole world, from the Booyah Network and their ignorant minions, to Sin City and back again were completely wrong.

    All that can be done next is to break a foot off in Pitt's ass. It will have to suffice.

  • I think Texas could be a very interesting game for KState. It could be for a BCS for UT and it would give Texas a chance to make a statement after what, which up until that point, has to be considered a disappointing season.
