Is Notre Dame underranked?

  • And is this due to their SOS?

Currently Notre Dame is unranked, but the true experts currently have them as

2.5 point home favorites over Michigan and that is with +100, so it is pretty close to being a 3 point with the normal 10% juice

5.5 point home favorites over Stanford

Stanford lost the #1 draft pick... at the most crucial position on the field...

With that said, I would still put this game at a pick'em since ND has no proven QB and no proven WR's at this point.

Lots of potential, nothing really proven.

The experts think otherwise, or at least they have a better than 50/50 chance to do so.

  • ND is ranked low to start because ND constantly underachieves. The voters are aware of ND's recent history. I do think they'll be a good team whose record doesn't reflect how good they are. I expect them to go 7-5 or 8-4.

I agree with you that our record won't reflect how good we are comment. I think we should be ranked in the 30's. Word just getting out that Lou Wood starting CB is out for the year with ACL injury. Going to be a lot of inexperienced youngsters getting time at CB. Amazing start here ND has only 2 kids on roster that were recruited as CB's.panic

  • They need to earn it first, but on paper that schedule is brutal. And they have QB issues for the 3rd straight year. .

  • As long as Denard is taking snaps I don't see them beating Michigan. That game will probably will increase the probabilities of myocardial infarctions in both fanbases though.

9-3 is doable, that means they likely go 3-2 v. Michigan, at MSU, Stanford, at Oklahoma, and at USC.

  • im sure their ranking might have something to do with them blowing 4 or 5 games last year. michigan, USF, FSU, and another that i cant remember. if they could control their turnovers they could be ranked higher

    thats a rough schedule

USC and OK are most likely losses. Norman is ridiculously hard to play in
Michigan and MSU will be dogfights.

i only see a couple layups. BC sucks, and Purdue, and wake should be beatable but they like to sneak up on people(see FSU)

BYU, miami, stanford, and Pitt are tough to get a read on.

id say 8-4 with that schedule is respectable

    Michigan L
    USC L
    MSU L
    Oklahoma L
    Stanford 50/50

I see them at 8-4 at best and 6-6 at worst.I can see them dropping games to Miami,Navy and Stanford.
