Is Oklahoma being slighted in the BCS?

Why is FSU in lower case letters ? I don't appreciate that Scoot, edit that for me please

I've got nothing for you if you dont realize these two comparisons are WAY off....be serious man.

OkSt losing to Iowa freaking State does NOT equal Bama losing in overtime to the #1 team in the country last year.

You are right, they aren't equal. Neither was Oklahoma St winning 5 games over the BCS top 25 while Bama only had 2. Neither was Oklahoma St having won their conference while Bama didn't even win their own division.

I thought OK State should have got in. That was a bullshit move by the BCS. Constant reasons to get rid of this crap system.

No team should play for a national title without being the best in their own conference. Everything else is just perception. If you're not even the best in your conference how can you be considered top 2 in the country? I think OK State would have won the national title last year if they got in. They got jobbed.

Oh absolutely. How could a team from a conference like the Big 12 possibly compete with the SEC big boys.

You are the one that said LSU would have easily beat Oklahoma St last year like it is some verifiable fact. A&M was in the bottom half of the pack in the Big 12 last year and have come into the SEC and inserted themselves into the upper echelon of the conference. Oklahoma St could have just as easily beat LSU as you are insiuating LSU would have beat them.

Your comparing two different LSU teams. I wanted to play Oak St last year. It was messed up that they didnt get in

It really was a slap in the face to Ok State AND LSU. LSU had to play Georgia while Bama sat at home picking their ass. LSU had one of the greatest seasons in history ruined by the biased media. Bama had no business being put into that game. One of the biggest travesties in CFB history.

  • We had our opportunities and did not get it done and to be honest I do not think we are consistent enough to play in a BCS bowl unless we finish the last three games strong.

Texas isn't a legit win and honestly has no business being in the top 20. Their defense is porous. OU has one ok win and has 2 losses so no. I'd say they're ranked where they need to be ranked. LSU, SCar and A&M all lost to Florida, LSU lost to the defending national champion and A&M and SCar lost to LSU. None of which are bad losses. I do agree however, that LSU and SCar are not top 10 teams. I'm kind of perplexed how they are rated higher than FSU for example, who should be top 7 imho.

Rajun Cajuns are? hahaha Oklahoma would beat UF by 60

OU couldn't muster more than 14 with the greatest offense in modern history against us. They even got shellacked by a just as bad offense in Notre Dame. OU is middle pack at best.

And way to bring up ULL when we've beat A&M, SCAR, and LSU.

  • OU is 10th in the computer polls and 12th in both human polls. They have 2 good losses and 3 wins against the top 30 in the Sagarin Ratings.

They definitely should be ahead of South Carolina and Clemson based on that, IMO.

I wouldn't argue with the 2 loss teams of LSU, OU, Texas A&M, and Stanford being in any order, but all 4 should be ahead of South Carolina and Clemson, although I would say that LSU has the 2 most impressive wins this season so far with Scar and aTm.

    How long ago was that?

I don't like OU as a team this season, but for what they've done on paper, they should be higher.

Saying in general. don't think OU would put up a lot of points on a SEC defense. Dink and dunk, throw it 45 times a game doesn't do jack against this league. LSU proved it and Florida proved it in national title games. Notre Dame proved it this year.

I'm actually baffled how far away from a defensive standpoint Stoops has fallen. Dude has mediocre defenses every year and it seems as if offense is all he's worried about.

OU lost to #1 and #3 who are unbeaten. They beat BCS #15 Texas 63-21 and number #23 Texas Tech 41-20. They have handled the rest of their schedule pretty easily.

Why are LSU, Texas A&M, and especially South Carolina rated higher than OU when they all have 2 loses that are inferior?

To bad OU isn't in the SEC. Then you guys would still be in the top 5.

I agree that is the problem with OU. When they were on top of the world, their defenses were insanely good. Now they are good, but not even close to the level they were 2000-2003 or so.

On paper, OU should be higher is all my point really was. Can't punish them for looking bad when they still have had good results this season. If we went just on how things looked, Florida would have issues there as well.

    Results have to mean something.

Nebraska fans fitting in well with the mediocre B1G I see. If it doesn't work out this year, the MAC could be a good home for you though.
