Is Saban going back to the NFL?

  • I could see Saban leaving for the fact he wants to proce to himself and others his first stint at the NFL as a HC was a fluke... he also seems to have that personality of wanting a challenge and conquering challenges

  • I hope he goes as he is a great CFB coach. He isn't a very good NFL coach though. He just doesn't fit well in the NFL. I could see it being a new challenge though. He will never be considered one of the best football coaches because he never did it on the toughest level. One of the best in CFB no doubt but not in all of football.

What kills me Kite is that Greg Schiano is H.C. in the NFL. You'd think Saban would be better. shrug

From the reports I read in Cleveland Saban already said he don't want to coach there.

Sorry in most people's eyes he will be a great CFB but never on the level of a Belichick, Tom Landry, Bill Walsh, Vince Lombardi. NFL is harder than college.

Different style. Some styles just simply don't work in the NFL and I think his doesn't. Could he be successful in the NFL? Sure he could be but more than likely he won't be.

I'm sorry but guys like Rockne and Bryant are as good of coaches if not better than anyone you just listed, but hey! Since they didn't coach on the NFL level, they just aren't as good of coaches. It's asinine really.

Yeah I'm basically just saying I can't believe Greg Schiano got a head coaching gig. I must be missing something.

did Bear Bryant or JoePa ever coach in the NFL ? both are legands & considered by most everyone among the best ever period.
what about Pat Summitt, Coach K.,or John Wooden ?

Bill Walsh a NFL folklore hero was a very mediocre 34-24 in 5 years at Stanford.

Did you seriously just say Rockne??? The guy died over 80 years ago. That was way before the NFL. There wasn't harder competition back then because it didn't exist. Vince Young is a great college football player but not anywhere near one of the best football players. He couldn't do it against the best and the best is the NFL whether it's coaching or players.

Great college coaches but today the best players and coaches are in the NFL. More people care about NFL than the college game. There's more money in the NFL teams.

great coaches are great coaches no matter the level.

Walsh was a sub .500 HC among the the college ranks does it make him a lesser coach ? and former Duke hoopster Bobby Hurley's Dad was one of the greatest coaches ever & im not sure he ever left the High School ranks.
