how can Bryant & Walsh be considered on the same level ? Bryant never coached in the NFL. you're wrong, it was pointed out, and now you're reaching. but it's ok really, everyone already knows.

    got it ? lol

I got it. Rush Propst is as good if not better than Belichick as a football coach.

So are you seriously saying that Bear Bryant or JoePa aren't two of the greatest football coaches ever?

I asked about "football coaches", not college.

  • Lots of vacancies in the NFL it seems. Maybe Lions, heading back to MI? Has the best QB, WR option out there.

did Bear Bryant or JoePa ever coach in the NFL ? both are legands & considered by most everyone among the best ever period.
what about Pat Summitt, Coach K.,or John Wooden ?

Bill Walsh a NFL folklore hero was a very mediocre 34-24 in 5 years at Stanford.

Great college coaches are not as great as the coaches who coach the professionals

Zero chance Saban goes back to a place where he has to compete on a level playing field.

That is something he simply can't hack and he knows it.

    I agree 100%

So true. This reason also chases many coaches away from jobs they once had and loved. Look at what it did to Urbs.

I keep seeing a scroll about Saban and somewhere in Ohio go by during these bowl games. $$ talks with $aban. shrug

Thats stupid as hell...he doesn't give a rats ass about the money. Bama can pay him as much as he wants anyway. He doesn't like the freaking NFL...he had the glam job in Miami and left it...why in the hell would he come back to Cleveland, which is one of the worst 3-4 jobs in the NFL??

great coaches are great coaches no matter the level.

Walsh was a sub .500 HC among the the college ranks does it make him a lesser coach ?

    breaking news ...

although there are a random few that believe the best coaches are only in the NFL, over a half dozen "of the so-called best" were FIRED this past week.

That would be a big negative....he is way past chasing money to coach BS.

Once again, had a good job in Miami (a helluva lot better situation than Cleveland) that he left because he DOES NOT like coaching the prima donnas of he NFL that believe they know everything and have trouble accepting criticism because he will definitely let you know if you are f'ing it up.
