Meyer was UF's coach for 6 years, won them 2 titles. Of course they are going to support their guy. They were blinded.

Hell, I was blinded when DickHead was coaching at Michigan. I didn't want to believe that he was some dumb hillbilly from West Virginia with a gimmicky system that couldn't recruit, didn't give a shit about defense, banged cheerleaders and co-eds, bent the rules, and was just a piece of shit in general.

I am more dumbfounded at Ohio State fans going full retard over Meyer though, because most of them straight up HATED his ass. Especially after the ass-whooping he gave them in the BCS title game in 2006 and after he basically stole Shariff Floyd from them by telling Sharrif he had a dream that GOD, yes GOD, told him he had to coach Shariff in college, and that Urbs would rather DIE, yes, DIE coaching Sharrif than stop coaching college football. OSU fans RIPPED him to shreds after that fiasco.

Now they suck him off at EVERY opportunity they get.

What's puzzling is not that they supported him despite what others said, it's that they are acting like this is new wtf news concerning diggs.

guess you are right but the guy seems to be doing a pretty good job at SC so far and do think the guy has changed since he arrived at SC vs. the crap he was pulling when he was coaching at UT . Funny how he is now bud's with Coach Meyer but while they coached againest each other in the SEC they hated each other with a passion

I'm a realist about things. I have no homerism in me whatsoever.

If there is one thing i know for sure it's that Tressel was the cleanest coach in America, and Meyer now has that title because Tress is no longer coaching.

Lane was with us before...and he didn't pull the stuff at SC he did while at Tennessee. Young and brash accounts for a lot of it, but I can assure you, when he was brought back, he understood that that behavior would not be tolerated. Pat Haden agreeing to take a step down from his career to become the AD at USC in her time of need, assures that there will be no tolerance for scandal or improprieties by the coaching staff or players without consequences.

Lane still says to this day that he would not have left Tennessee for any other job save the USC job. he admits he made mistakes.

Hopefully, Tee Martin can spend a few years with us, gain experience coaching in a big program, then we can send him home prepared to coach at his Alma Mater. Maybe that will make that whole situation in TN even out.
