List a couple reasons why
I am for a few reasons:
1: I am pretty freaking excited about the UM game. 2: The season of false promises will be over, no more telling a recruit we'll do this, this, and this next year. Its time to put up or shut up. And this is the worst time of the year for 'Bama recruiting. 3: I am really ready for the LSU game in Baton Rouge, should be another awesome game between 2 of the best teams in the country. 4: I'm ready to beat AU into submission again

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

I'm 100% with you. I wish the olympics started next week to give us a 2+ week sports oasis in the middle of the dog days.
Plus MSU kicks off on Friday night, meaning I have to wait about 18 less hours than most folks for CFB
Playing Boise St. makes it much better too.

It really does. The office is usually closed by 2 p.m. on holiday weekends, so I don't even have to take a vacation day to make it to campus in time for tailgating
. Tack on a top 25 opponent and a home night game, and you end up with a great weekend.
Now, if the Spartans win, it sets up for the perfect Labor Day Saturday: I can pretty much gorge on CFB all day because my team's already played.

I think he'll be top 2 or 3 in conference in sacks and lead the conference in tackles for loss and forced fumbles. I think the over/under put out by our insider earlier this summer was 10.5 sacks and he said over.
Barring injury, he's going to be nasty this season. He only played about 50% of the plays last season, and from what we've been told, he was basically given an assignment presnap b/c he hadn't learned all the schemes yet. According to our d-line coach, he's now 100% confident in the scheme and he'll be "let loose" from day 1.

Well, I hope State kills Boise, but when you have 2 new QBs in their first game there's a definite chance of some sloppiness.
Other than MSU - Boise and Bama - UM, are there any other good match-ups that weekend? It's usually the FCS/MAC invitational in the Big 10.

As a Gamecock Fan,
1) I'm ready to see our new state of the art video board. Supposedly, it will be one of the best in the SEC, and at the least, it replaces the tiny one we've been complaining about for the last 10 years.
2) I'm ready to see if Marcus Lattimore is fully recovered. The realist in me says that's a full year recovery.
3) I'm ready to see Clowney 2.0.
4) I'm ready to see if Connor Shaw can build on the end of his last season.
5) I'm ready to tailgate.

1) New coach after 40 seasons, excited to see the kind of changes that are made. 2) After how horrible our offense has been the last few years, even though we still have a feeb for a QB, I'm excited to see what the new offense will look like. Maybe we'll finally stop seeing the reverse being called and NEVER working. Maybe we'll finally see evidence that the offensive coaches actually gameplanned for the team they're facing. 3) Got a defensive front 7 with strong potential, despite the fact that I'm a little apprehensive of Roof's defense. 4) I think our schedule sets up pretty well to make a decent run - a la Michigan last year. 5) The new S&C coach, Craig Fitzgerald (sorry Gamecock fans), has been working wonders. Players are being really challenged for once but seem to be buying in. 6) Finally got rid of two OL coaches for one. 7) Should see the TE's get involved more - something I wanted to see last year.

I have to wait until 8pm on Saturday for Michigan.

Is anyone else ready for the season?
