    If you want an amazing steak, hit up a Ruth Chris steakhouse. They do a butter sear at like 1500. No way you can duplicate that.

    But anybody can rock out a Fleming's steak with like an $800 investment. If you've got kids, that pays for itself in like a year.

    Having a RC Filet Mignon is like the only time a man is allowed to audibly orgasm in public and everyone else is cool with it. Gimme that bad boy rare. No sauce. I just want meat.

    And some of those garlic mashed potatoes. Actually, ALL of the garlic mashed potatoes.

    I will actually pretty soon: I'm taking my girlfriend there.

    Also, crappy Mexican is always the best Mexican. When your son (or you) can speak spanish, all the more power to you.

    Restaurants do not get that type of discount on alcohol. When you order a case of wine you will get a case discount which is one bottle free out of 12 or 15 depending on the wine. Same thing for liquor.

    I actually order my liquor through my favorite bar, and if an old lady is drinking a 6-10 dollar glass of wine it's reasonable to think the glass actually cost them a dollar or 2.

    I'm a restaurant manager. If its a shitty restaurant and they're wine cost $10 a bottle then yeah it cost them $2 or $3, but thats usually not the case even in your casual dining restaurants. We don't carry that type of wine in my restaurant though.

    had them that way in New Mexico, and since then, the only way the wife makes them.

    When made with home made tortillas, and from scratch enchilada sauce, about as good as a meal gets...a cut below a great steak imo

    I got all that. I actually like outback steaks and a couple local places better. Always thought the worst part about Flemmings was I couldn't drink a sip of,water without them filling the glass up as I was setting it back down. I just want to eat and have basic service.

  • To answer the kid issue, I have no problems with kids at my tables as long as they aren't being shitheads.

    When they're running around while we're busy and screaming murder, that's when I'm ready to punt one across our parking lot.

    I remember one incident where this table brought in a toddler that screamed and cried the entire time they were there. My boss went by asking if they could do something about the noise.

    Their response, and I kid you not, was "What do you want us to do? We can't control him"

    There needs to be an IQ test to become a parent.

  • We've takin our kids to some pretty nice restaurants. We are quick as hell to pull the trigger if need be though. My 3 year old daughter is generally well behaved, 14 month old son can get out of hand though. Within seconds of 1 of them fussing, 1 of us is taking them at least to the waiting area in front of restaurant. It's only happened twice really, nice part is, both times we were thanked by other patrons, for handling it the way we did so they could enjoy their meal. I won't think twice to have a manager call out parents that don't do the same. I don't need peace and quiet, but don't want some brat with lazy parents ruining my time either
