Is tha South

  • Still segregated in some parts ?? I had a friend who moved back to Cali after living in Biloxi Mississippi, and Georgia (forgot tha towns name) for 5 years. He is Mexican-American, and worked as a chef. Anyways he said his 5 years in tha South were terrible, he experienced many acts of racism and had some jacked up stories. He also mentioned to me how sum little towns/cities were segregated and their seemed to be a lot of Racial Tension between Blacks/Whites. Im sure this is not tha case everywear in tha South but in some parts its true?? Obviouslly Football-/sports is something that brings everyone together regardless of race. Is there any truth to what my friend spoke of?

  • I live in a small community in tha south an I have nOt seen any of what you are mentioning in at least 20 years. Now when I was a kid in the early 80s.....yeah. But it been a long time since it was that way.

  • NYC and LA are way worse. Small towns in the south NEVER had any issue with this. Just liberal media tango.

  • And before anyone says anything else, the United States is basically the least racist nation in the world now. Everyone has grown up to a great degree and when the racists that are 50+ years old start to really fade out it will largely be gone.

    Except in Los Angeles probably.

    His Co-Worker went to jail for beating up a black kid who was dating his daughter,didnt like tha fact she was dating a black kid.

    My friend and his Latino buddies were robbed every Friday by thugs, (payday, called em Walking ATMs)

    People told my friend to go back to Mexico even tho he was born here wtf?

    Word got around town that an illegal was running a restaraunt, so they boycotted it (totally untrue, hes a citizen)

    Every frickn truck had stars n bars flag

    You're just flaming. Of course there are idiots and racists in the south. Cool story compiling 4-5 dumb stories and sharing them and acting naive like, "Golly gee guys I heard these here stories, they aint true is they?"

  • America has gotten better in terms of racism. Still not perfect.

    It's the most diverse country in the world but if you ask anyone not from North America they still think we are still segregated and lynch blacks. A shame but that's what many think.

  • I grew up in a town that has two sides of the railroad tracks: one side white, one side black. We all went to school together, played sports together, etc. But if you were a girl you better not bring home or be caught with a black boy. Interracial dating is a HUGE no-no like it was 50 years ago. And if you were white on the black side of the tracks you were either A. Sneaking to see your boyfriend if you were a girl, or B. buying drugs.

    I graduated from high school in 2006. This isn't some ole story from 20 years ago.
