Is there a team currently on ND's wins list...

  • Frankly, the list of teams that would run with Bama and Oregon isn't that large to begin with, so yeah...ND's schedule thus far hasn't been as difficult as it looked going into the year. But they're still beating decent teams.

We could play ND at a neutral site venue in Antarctica and would beat y'alls A$$.

and that won't really be any denial about that...ND fans know they aren't at Bama's level in any phase of the game, with the biggest difference on offense.

However, your fellow Bammer ( loco ) has a hard time grasping that Western Kentucky blows, FAU blows, and GA. Southern, "the mighty 9-2 FCS team", blows even harder. Michigan is a push, and Arkansas and Ole Miss both suck. Just because they have an SEC patch on their chest doesn't mean they are good. Yes, it is clear that Bama is dominant, but they have in no way been tested...at all.

Not really. Just hearing a lot about SEC teams not leaving their neighborhood for games. Think Bama would come to South Bend and play at the end of November? Maybe a trip to the NW? Maybe play USCw in Cali? Doubt it, Doubt it, Doubt it.

Ahhh the weather excuse. Forgot about that one.

We don't play Ga Southern this year. And Western Kentucky is better than Navy or Purdue. Of that I am certain. So is Ole miss and Arkansas.

  • Who should be ranked ahead of ND that is currently ranked below them? I don't think ND could hang with Bama... and I haven't watched Oregon this year so no comment. I'm sure there are a bunch of teams that could beat ND (probably why they aren't ranked higher than they are right now).

I actually don't think they are overrated this year.... ranked right where they should be based on the season so far.

The point is that ND is overrated and if they play a top tier team in a bowl game, they will get waxed.

We still have Stanford, OU, and USC I think we'll know if we belong in BCS bowl after the last game.. Still the only team that hasn't trailed this year and haven't allowed a TD since playing Purdue 4 weeks ago..

How do you figure? In name, yes. In actual team, no.

Unless you're gonna sit here and tell me that Miami and Purdue are some world beaters.

Not sure if serious?shrug WKU and FAU aren't world beaters that's for sure. We have one common opponent in UM. Your offense put up a lot more points, but are D allowed a lot less. MSU beats everyone you have played, besides maybe UM. Purdue probably beats everyone you've played, besides UM obviously. Miami who knows WTF they would do. We play Stanford this weekend, I'm sure they'd beat every one of your opponents too date.

Wow! I never really paid attention to SEC teams and their schedules, but seriously, how do they schedule teams like that? headslap Do any SEC teams leave the SE part of the US for OOC games? shrug

Very rarely do they leave the SE to play, LSU being the exception last year. Bama played at PSU too, but that's a rare situation. The SEC as a whole has probably played less than 10 OOC games out of their region the last 5 years. LSU went to WVU and UW and Bama played at PSU that's all I can think of off the top of my head..

We opened the season with #8 Michigan.

Last year we played on the road at PSU. The year before was at home vs PSU. The year before was neutral site Va Tech. The year before was neutral site Clemson.

We can't all play (and lose to) Navy every year.

    "Georgia Southern"

Yeah. And we won by 24 points. Still don't follow. Did we have to win by 75? 100? You realize that Ga Southern has a really weird funky option attack right? And that they were in the semifinals of the FCS playoffs with a 9-2 record right?

All of our wins last year were at least 2 TDs. ND has already had two games within 1 score against crappy teams. So I'm not sure your comparison works.

roflmao neutral site games played in the ATL or Dallas. lol at putting down Navy then pumping up Georgia Southern for their option attack. Dumbest shit I've seen in a long time, thanks for the laughs.thumbsup

So you did travel to PSU. Excellent! Any others where you might need an airplane? Or do you guys just travel by buses?

OH YES!!! The Navy joke. Good one. "Ga Southern has a really weird funky option attack". Really? But Navy's triple option is easy? "They were in the semifinals of the FCS playoffs". Really? FCS? What does it matter how many points you win by. Just win! ND's D is solid. Young DBs playing well considering not a lot of playing time. Freshman (RS) QB learning the offense, and doing a solid job. Getting better every week.

lol we wouldn't know about FCS teams seeing how ND and USC are the only 2 teams that have never played on that level..

what "really good" team has Bama beaten? I understand that Bama is a better team but in all likelihood, ND would be 5-0 against Bama's schedule as well. Actually...looking at that schedule, ND definitely would be 5-0.

Bama manhandled Michigan while ND had a +5 turnover ratio and won by 7 points at home at night ... ND loses at a neutral field first game of the year.

  • Here we go. But I suppose last years 5 gifts from ND had nothing to do with UM victory? Was all talent? In Ann Arbor. At night. Try again. We won. Get over it

    What was the overall?
I didn't mention total turnovers because we had way more than 5

By the way, if the game was played last year at a neutral site, I believe ND wins ... this year, I think Mich wins.

considering you beat Purdue by 3 earlier in the season when you were somewhat struggling to get established, is it that much of a stretch?

Mich had 6 turnovers, one of which was insignificant. Throwing the ball up right before half and getting intercepted is meaningless. Mich had 5 meaningful turnovers and ND had 2.

  • You guys have to remember Michigan never loses to a better team, they always fall back to "We didn't play Michigan football" as one of their excuses.
