Juvenile rat snakes look like that sometimes. Can't tell for sure from the pic, but I had one keep coming into my garage that looked like that.
The little bastard got on the garage door and fell about inch from my face when I opened it.

It's obviously not a venomous snake from the size and shape of the head and body.

You can't always tell by that. If its a pit viper then yes. But a coral snake has none of there features.

Yeah I didn't include the coral snake cause their markings are so distinctive compared to every other one snake. Though I did finally catch a rare scarlet king snake this summer which looked identical to a coral with different color orders on it. Couldn't get it to eat so I released him.
