    So many reasons why it will never happen. I think there are a lot of things that you can point to that would make one think we were protecting the Middle East from Israel more than the other way around.

    Anyways, it would be political suicide for the party that made a divide with Israel happen.

    I kind of agree with this. Israel is more than capable of destroying the Middle East and in many ways the US has stopped that from happening. There are some hotheads over there that are more than ready to start nuclear war. All sides feel they're the "chosen people" and have no issue with dying for the reasons they feel are part of "God's plan".

    I also strongly believe Israel will be the direct/ indirect(depends on how you personally look at it) cause of the next great war. We would have no choice but to defend them and therefore involve ourselves in another war that is much more about religion than anything else on all sides but ours. We don't fight wars for religion, we fight for control, power and democracy. For that reason, in essence, we can never truly defeat the defenders of religion. They're fighting for a cause that we can't comprehend as a country and are more than willing to die for it. Hard to truly defeat a group of people that go in with every intention of dying for their savior/messiah/ religious figure. There will always be another horde of people more than willing to take up the cause with as much or more aggression as the last. Lose, lose for the good old US of A. We are the enemy of the world and that likely includes Israel in the most basic sense.

  • I have known people who have family in Palestine, with Israel's recent aggression (say the past 5 years) they are the terrorists. Remember the boat that broke the blockade (it was carrying building supplies to rebuild what the israeli missiles destroyed), how many of the people shot where shot in the back or the head? the israelis claimed it was in self defense. It's amazing how much our media fails to report on some of the stuff. When the people of palestine fight back it makes our news and they are made out to be horrible people (some of them are). But the people can only take so much before they have to retaliate.

    Educate yourself. Go over to the Middle East and check it out for yourself. Israel the terrorist??? That is absurd. Think about all the crazy measurement we (the United States) take to protect ourselves from terrorists. Now imagine living in Israel where a terrorist threat is a real possibility 24/7. Shame on them for taking precautions on realistically everyday threats. When you are constantly in a state of war, you are forced to take certain action.

    P.S. it doesn't take much for the Middle East to retaliate as can be seen from that Muhammad film.

    The only reason there is such a thing as "war against women" is strictly because of religion. Argue if you wish, but religion is the main reason for the subjugation and the holding back of women's rights in any society you look at.
