Israel to attack Iran in the spring?

  • Maple_leaf said...

a quarter of the world is muslim, no way a majority dude. I am sure they are just like anyone else and don't want to get nuked.
"will not care about human life, they kill their* own family members as if they were rats!" blank

There are Muslims that think differently and interpret their Koran different as well but for the most part all hate our way of life and yes they kill their family members for disgracing the family, it has happened in the US as well just the other day it was on the news that a Muslim father killed his daughter and I believe his wife because of the daughters dating status, all done in the name of religion and he felt justified in doing so. Why do you think Iran is trying so hard to develop nuclear weapons? Protection? Economic or political leverage? This is all JMO and pray it does not happen and is just an empty threat on Israel's behalf and you have a right to your opinion outside of the Muslim, Communist world but I have seen, heard and read to much about them over the last 40 plus years for you to change my opinion about that region of the world.

Most Iranian citizens are pro-America. Please do not confuse governments with people.

There is a unbelievably huge misunderstanding of the Muslim world in this thread.

Iran isn't Arabic. They are Persian and Shia muslim. People from Sunni countries like Saudi Arabia, do not care much for Iranians in general, and the idea of Arab countries and Iran joining together in a Muslim Caliphate is unbelievably ignorant.

Also what happens if Iran develops a nuclear bomb? They don't have any ballistic technology, and it would be impossible for them to launch a missile any farther than they could throw it.

Any attempt by the Iranians to detonate or sell a bomb would result in their complete annihilation via the US military with International and NATO support.

If anyone spends 5 minutes looking at the map of US bases surrounding Iran, it is pretty obvious why Iran feels the need to have a nuclear weapon.

Muslims are human like everyone else. Sure a very small percentage are religious radicals, but the percentage isn't much different than what you would find in any other religion.

Just expressing my opinion like everyone else I did not come over here to be called ignorant, dude or get my ass down voted off and all that other dumb shit! I am not blood thirsty but I am a former Marine and know a troubled region when I see one so you guys can set back and sprinkle fairy dust on the Muslims for all I care but what I know is that it is them that has been killing Americans and others for the past two decades and none of the so called minions you guys are talking about have stepped up to stop the so called few from doing all of the murdering so until that happens as far as I am concerned they are all connected!

My point is nobody really knows what the hell happens over there. Just what the American media wants us to know. You know nothing of what you speak. Have you ever even been there?

I have not been there recently but served over there in the past! How about you?

Just because you served in the military does not mean you are right. There is a reason an elected civilian is commander in chief.

  • WE would be smart to back Israel and go after Iran, that country is up too NO good and its time someone stepped up and did something about it.

I said it was JMO (just my opinion) just like what everyone else has! Read all the posts and not just the last two heated ones that stemmed from name calling and down vote barrage and you will clearly see that I did not claim anything but my opinion and those that I thought I was having a conversation with had a right to theirs as well, I read all of the posts before I started shooting my mouth off which is something we all should do but like I said it is just my opinion.

I am proud of my service but trust when I say war is the last thing I or most currently serving would like to see and when we do go it is your buddy the civillian commander in cheif that sends us and keeps us there for a undetermined amount of time to be picked off a handful at a time after the war is over because he kinda likes to play soldier too.

My life has been affected by this nonsense since 2002. Again, you know nothing of what you speak. If you've ever even been over there you'd know that the last thing they or any individual of that region cares about is an American opinion. They hate us more than you can imagine. They would take their own lives just to see one of us die. Keep sitting behind the safe confines of your computer and think you really know whats going on though. It's amusing to see some of these comments on here. You play the game call of duty and think you have a real grasp about what really goes on over there. When in reality typical American opinion sounds ignorant. Those people are fucking animals who would kill their own child in order to prove a point. They don't have any of the luxuries you and me have. Keep drinking that American media kool-aid. Blind fools. People like you are why America gets laughed at.

Way to shoe horn an entire population into your own stereotype. Racist much?

And there is also a reason that many people are of the opinion that the commander and chief should have military experience.

Sorry but In my 4 years I saw more than my share. 4 years 23 months of deployment. I can't tell you how many times I was shot at. Not some guy on a FOB who "got shot at" but rounds fired at me, including one that caught me in the back! If it wasn't for IBA I would be paralyzed or worse. Thats not going into ied's. Until you have something to add to this conversation that is valid, I would suggest you shut the hell up and not criticize a veteran.

Since you are high and mighty, how about your extensive qualifications on this subject? Deployments? A degree in foreign affairs? anything?

SPC you got shot in the back man? I am assuming IBA is body armor... how much could you still feel it if you don't mind me asking?

    Fuzz

  • IBA=improved body armor

I didn't realize it. We were talking to a family that kept giving us good intel in Kandahar and walked out of the house, next thing I knew I was laying with my face on the ground. The 11 year old son of the guy we were talking to was trying to pull me to sagety while my guys were returning fire. I jumped up, grabbed the kid(we basically kidnapped him for the night), and jumped in the truck. On our way back everyone was asking me if I was allright and I was like yeah I'm good, what happened. They said I got shot and I told them they were nuts. I took my IBA off and it caught an AK round that would have hit dead center of my back. Didn't feel nothing until the next morning and I had a bruise the size of a volleyball on my back. Hurt like hell for a week.

We're taught not to tell strangers especially wanna be individuals like you about our engagements over there. Your lying.

Biggest crock ever. Unless everything you ever did while deployed is classified then you can talk about it. As someone with a TS clearance I can assure you I have a ton of stuff I can't talk about. But ANYONE who was deployed can tell you stuff.

So in summary try again troll.

So wait you did 8 years in Israel and Palestine?

Because that is what this thread is about.

No one cares that you had to join the part of the armed forces with the lowest acceptance standards.

That's where the best generals come from, hoss. Grunts develop true leaders.

As far as this da irishimp is concerned, its ok to fear...but let's not be fear mongers.

I have personally witnessed the results of violence caused by hatred and ignorance; this includes attacks by Muslim extremists as well as the Israeli army. Neither is innocent of blood-lust revenge.

I can also guarantee from personal experience that Israel will not hesitate to bomb Iran when they feel the threat is imminent. They could squash the Iranian defenses like a bug, but then their domestic terrorism will increase ...has the game "Crusades-Nuclear Edition" been invented yet?

It's my island. I OWN IT.
