It is easily clear that Alabama has the best offense

  • and defense in the country. cant even think of an OL on the same level as Bama this year.

Must be a crazy year. Can't remember any year where something was clear after week one.

  • I'll agree with the defene statement, but as far as offense goes I'll take Oregon or USC's offense over any in the country. If you were to make an offensive all star team combined of Oregon and USC players you'd have an NFL team. Lol. Just kidding, but I do think Oregon and USC have the best offenses in thr nation. Alot of football left though.

  • They will have the toughest offense to stop maybe, but I wouldn't call it the best or most explosive.

  • Best offense under Saban

    Not best in the land

That OL is serious though, i knew it would be

None of their kids were over-rated coming in, all deserve their praise

I remember some thinking Fluker was going to suck early in his career ha ha ha

This is what i was thinking

But then i thought wouldn't that be the best ? If its the hardest to stop ?

For example we always get caught up in skill talent

But its the OL that truly matters most

Or else a few offenses would be better

Yeah that's what I was meaning. Also, that type of running gm is basically keeping the other offense on the bench.

Their OL will beat most DL by the 3rd qtr, if not by halftime. If they don't turn the ball over, which is rare, that offense will be too hard to shut down.

I think highly of WVU/USC's offense too, but Bama's ground and pound has been working since like '08.

Honestly you could put the best o-lineman of any other conference together and they couldn't touch Bama's line this year.

    And I wouldn't take anyone's backs over Bama's either.

However our O is more about ball control than scoring 500 points a game like Oregon.

    We'll be a top 20 total O and probably average 35 points a game.

  • That's not true coolstorybro. Everyone knows that the Runninggame is not a part of any offensive philosophy so it doesn't count. It's only if the QB passes for 400 yards and 5 TD's. Usually happens to teams who are playing from behind or playing Wac opponents. Playing from behind is never really what Alabama does so doubt we'll ever have a good offense and by offense I mean passing game.

Their O-line is monstrous no facking doubt about it.Yeldon looks good to.The weakness is having Mccarron and the WR's beat you passing.Mccarron looks extremely good when he's feeding off playaction but I doubt he can beat you slinging it all over the yard.I still think LSU will beat them in Death Valley.

I definately get what your saying there. That o line is touted as and played as how they were supposed to. I'm just going to withhold judgement until they go against a great d line. Mich D line is average at best. Taking nothing against alabama. They did what they were supposed to do

Dunno man, three preseason AAs ( two first team )on our line, with a former 5* top 3 nationally player at LT?

Name 5 o-lineman from one conference who got as much hype as our line has this year.

I have no doubt you could if you looked in more than one conference.

And look what we did to Michigan's 1st-team All-American OT...he wasn't in the same league as our entire OL.

Bama/LSU will be a good gm, no doubt.

The qbs don't seem to matter in that offense, they are just icing on the cake. That's why I said it's the toughest to stop. I shouldve just said most effective. They have a pretty good qb now though.

They have been running right through teams since '08, and they are now on their 3rd qb. I know Oregon can plug qbs in their offense, with little to no drop off, as well.

USC/Clemson (with Sammy)/Oregon/WVU are more explosive offenses, IMO. The same guys they have making plays can hurt a team just as much in special teams too.

Bama has the best OL, but there are others in the same ball park.

USC- not as physical probably, but for what they do, can't argue with MattB not getting hit that much throughout an entire season

LSU- consistent, and they have been able to block for different qbs, that have opposite strengths, in different gm plans, for the last few yrs

Still counts in my book. They still had to protect the ball, keep dumb penalties down, etc (with a new qb)
