It is easily clear that Alabama has the best offense

    AJ isn't a game manager.

He's only allowed to manage games.

Dude's a scrub like McChicken I mean Mcelroy the other game manager.

AJ McCarron just won the BCSNC Offensive MVP award.

He won this against what many were calling the best secondary in the entire country.

He also had the 2nd highest QB rating in the SEC (147) behind only Tyler Wilson (148) during 2011.

Bama has tons of good receivers.

Bama are the 49ers and USC are the Patriots.

    Best comparison I can make.

Mccarron is merely a game manager stop it.He doesn't have to do anything but feed of playaction which leaves gapping holes in the opposing opponents secondary caused by them trying to stop the run at all cost.He is nothing special and neither are your receivers.Your running game however is very special. It's so special that it will give the illusion that a scrub like Mccarron is actually a great QB.Dude is a game manager no more no less.

did you even watch the BCSNC? AJ dropped perfect balls all over LSU, threw on every 1st down, and set up the run with the pass.

AJ will get drafted. much higher than you think. he's looked at as about the #5 QB for the '14 draft. ~about a round 3-4 type player

He went 23-24 for 234 and 0 TD's. He didn't exactly light it up.

Yes I watched the BCSNC.Saban clearly outsmarted Lester by uncharacteristically throwing on first and second down taking LSU by SURPRISE.I give Saban full credit for a GREAT game plan.Mccarron is still nothing special.Mcelroy got drafted to didn't he?

I was mainly speaking about LSU's OL, it's legit.

I agree on Oregon. But, did Ark St really have 500+ yds on them? They better fix that by Nov.

Chip pulled the ones out half way into the 2nd quarter after putting up 50 points. Seven drives, seven td's. The two's finished off the half and then the three and fours played the second half. Best to judge Oregon on how they played for a quarter and a half of a quarter. Offense put up 50 and the D only let 3 points on the board. That's something you didn't see on espn. They dud say if Chip wouldn't have pulled the ones and not let off the gas they would've put up 130 pts on the board. Obviously that's an exageration, but 80+ definitely.

Amazes me every year how many teams choose the "fools gold" of these pinball offenses and no defense. Alabama plays a different style than Oregon and Ok State. Who has the better offense? Well that would depend on who you are playing. Oregon folded like a tent against allbarn and LSU and Oregon would throttle Ok State so they should not be a pert of this conversation anyway.

USC plays basically the same offense as Bama with the emphasis more on passing than brutalizing the opposition. They are both still prostyle offenses. In the national perspective USC's O is great because they throw it all over the lot and Bama's O is pedestrian because we don't. Somehow Bama just keeps on winning.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

You're talking crazy talk my man. Yes LSU definitely got the better of Oregon, but Auburn only won by three and it was in the last minutes of the game.

That's not true coolstorybro. Everyone knows that the Runninggame is not a part of any offensive philosophy so it doesn't count. It's only if the QB passes for 400 yards and 5 TD's. Usually happens to teams who are playing from behind or playing B12 opponents.

odds are : the winner of LSU/Bama will likely win it all but there is alot of football to played yet.

both have balanced O's but ....
it will be the team with the defense that contains the others running game the best that will look to have the best offense.

  • I love how the USC fans love to denigrate our QB and receivers. I don't think anybody has compared McCarron to the second coming of Namath. You all keep underestimating him and we'll keep winning. As for our receivers, they are young for the most part but again are not going to put up the pinball numbers to get noticed by sports center. As for McCarron, I believe that he has all the tools to put up huge numbers in one of those wide open passing attacks but we will never know no will we.

Keep on Ducking: My only point was thet the wild and crazy O came back to earth when confronted with very good defensive linemen. I think Chip Kelley would agree that your Ducks did not match up well vs the SEC. (really let me down BTW because i was pulling hard for you guys in the NC game!)

Just a thought but why do all the pundits say Bama's offense is milk toast and boring yet rave about how the NFL is the best product going? NFL teams are running the same stuff as Bama. I guess in college you are only good if you run the spread and hang 50 every week on East So in So State

The guys a game manager and it's really nothing wrong with being that. Nobodies hating on dude when they say that. You act like people don't give Bama props at all. We both know that's far from the truth. Amari Cooper looks like he will be a good WR in the near future.

What have your quarterbacks done in the league that would make them amything less than as you so eloquently state as a game manager?? Hell sanchez cant even buy a touchdown pass, leinert does anybody know where he is the back up currently?? The only one the last 10 12 years I would give a nickel for is palmer and i would be cautious even then in doing so. Matt Barkely will be no acception in this case. Bama will skullf--k you on the line of scrimmage and you will hit some passes but barkely will be picking the grass out of his facemask all night long and that is a fact!

The funny thing is, Sanchez is not that good imo but Mcelroy still won't ever sniff the starting job for the Jets. On top of that, both Leinart and Sanchez are light years better than anything to come out of Bama in years. Generally our players are better pros than yours also. Sure man Bama will do whatever they want to anybody they want. Anything else you would like to add?

Absolutely AJ would be the offensive MVP if bama played USC. No big deal though in that regard hell he shredded a defense in the title game last year that is light years ahead of what they face in USC also fact!! I think that is the sum of my thoughts for now

Their O-line is monstrous no facking doubt about it.Yeldon looks good to.The weakness is having Mccarron and the WR's beat you passing.Mccarron looks extremely good when he's feeding off playaction but I doubt he can beat you slinging it all over the yard.I still think LSU will beat them in Death Valley.

    Hope springs eternal.
