Its still early but..... South Carolina, Bama and FSU are....

  • In the hunt for a quick rising OL named Ira Denson, he has jumped to my #3 OL on my personal want board right behind Tunsil and Golson

    Says these 3 are pretty much tied and will be checking them out along with UF this summer

    He is right in FSU's backyard and Trickett freaking owes me so Im praying we land him

    Good luck guys, whoever lands this massive beast is getting a stud OL

    This thread is for those who haven't yet heard of him

  • We offered as soon as everyone else did. We will get him. Madison is one of those schools who influence their kids to a fault. Im not mad because they push them to FSU and we are on the bad end of the stick elsewhere (PB Dwyer, Tampa Armwood, Miami NW, Hialeah, Miramar, etc)

    Did you read Droogsma's interview the other day? lol

    Clemson's site interviewed him and he basically said he's dying to be a Nole but wants to remain calm and thinks visiting Clemson would be smart to do.

  • Ira's speed/footwork has been questioned by some, but he looked pretty good in this video.

    - looked good getting out of his stance.
    - got to the second level pretty quick and sealed off the defender.

    I've never seen a kid where nothing was really questioned in terms of a high school OL

    I just like the looks of this kid and the little I have seen, in 3 to 4 years he could be a massive downright scary SOB

    We need kids like him, not Blake Snider if you know what I mean

    kid looked very good in that drill. it's hard enough keeping a pass rusher away for 3-5 seconds from a cognizant moving target with the whole oline going, so much harder when it's a stationary target and 1-on-1 (opens inside for de/dt when normally not there with whole oline).

    Its just like with Bowden, they keep the title but it doesn't remain true

    Trickett has certainly lost something, for him to be at FSU and only produce two NFL drafted late rounders is pathetic imo

    FSU is an easy place to recruit at, I think we can do a tad bit better and this year we look like we finally could but who knows..... still only on one commit despite looking really good for a bunch of kids I like ( which wasn't the case the last 4 years.... seems if I liked a kid we had zero chance or didn't offer )
