How much of this has to do with him being promised a chance to pitch? Could be a short term thing, who knows. Jimbo and Martin are good buddies so I'm sure they have to worked out where he isn't missing spring practice.

No baseball coach will allow a "part-time" player. This isnt a pick up game.
