Mine would be:
1. Texas 2. LSU 3. Ohio State 4. Florida State 5. Alabama 6. Oklahoma 7. Georgia 8. Michigan 9. Notre Dame 10. USC
Note: I probably would have had Penn State on that list before the recent scandal but as a college coach, I don't see how that could be a top 10 destination right now with all the baggage that you would be inheriting.

Is your reasoning behind Alabama being at 5 because of there being 2 in state schools and also having to go out of state to recruit talent? If so, wouldn't Georgia be ahead based on the talent in state? Just curious.

As far as just straight-up potential (meaning recruiting, support, money, fan base, tradition, etc.) goes, here you go...This list is a little different than the one I put out last summer.
1- Texas 2- Florida 3- LSU 4- Ohio State 5- USC 6- Georgia 7- Notre Dame 8- Florida State 9- Alabama 10- Texas A&M
Penn State would be top five, but it's a much tougher gig given the recent issues there.

Yeah, Georgia could easily be higher. I think Richt has underachieved a little bit there. I don't see any reason why that program shouldn't be a national title contender every year. One thing about Georgia though is that their facilities aren't as good as some others in the SEC. Even their recent renovation to the Butts-Meher (sp?) doesn't put UGA on par with the Alabama's and LSU's of the conference. They redid an indoor facility and made it like a 35-yard facility.
