Clark, you're an idiot. I bet you didn't even go to college. And if you did, you certainly didn't go to UofM. OSU is a good school. It's not a Stanford or Northwestern, but it's a good school.

Simply depends on what you consider "good". That said, kids with the talent of Peppers typically aren't going to be utilizing all of the academic perks that give a school its rating. What is important for a kid like Peppers is the network he will have access to after his playing days are over. I'm sure OSU can offer something more than decent in that area.

  • He's obviously good, but the celebrations at the end aren't needed. Lack of sportsmanship.

  • If he's as serious about academics as some think, he could try to get into the honors program at OSU. It's hard to get into, though. I know when Anzalone commited to us, he was going to do the honors program.

It also depends on what the kid is looking to major in at OSU or Mich. Some of OSUs majors are better than UofMs. Now if he wants to major in broadcasting, he's almost a lock to work for ESPN if he comes to OSU haha...

Rankings in majors don't mean much in undergrad. The general ranking of broad programs matter (business, engineering, etc) but specific subject rankings don't mean jack except for grad school.

Like I said, what is important for 99.9% of college players is having access to the alumni network when they graduate. There are exceptions, like Myron Rolle, but those are the exception and not the rule. If he is looking for pure academic prestige, he should choose Stanford. Otherwise, most schools on his list are going to offer the same post football opportunities.

You're right. Didn''t go to college. Didn't just finish my PharmD. Am not making excellent money. Didn't graduate with almost zero student loan debt.

You were so close though. thumbsup

Hey, I'm at bama on the pre-pharm track. Of course I'll have to transfer for pharmacy school, but before I get to that, l suck at standardized testing. How hard is the pcat?

It wasn't too bad. Just really long.

Honestly when you get to the reading comprehension it starts becoming difficult to focus due to the length of the test.

Gotcha! Thanks, man. I'm only a freshmen but I've been looking at in-state pharm schools like Auburn and Samford, and out of state schools like Florida a&m, Xavier in NOLA, Kentucky, Howard, and Ole Miss. Out of state tuition is pretty expensive though. Haha

    The largest alumni?
One of the biggest research universities in America?

The ranking might not be all that, but it's the 17th ranked public university. We're good academically and network-wise.

The fact is that all his top schools have very similar football offerings, academics is where they differ and OSU is behind most of the other schools.

First, Michigan has the largest living alumni network. Just an fyi.

And I said OSU would be able to offer the network after his football career. I just said if we are talking about pure academics (which I don't think it will come down to) that Stanford (and Michigan to a slightly lesser extent) are far ahead.
