  • I know there are only like 3 of us on here, but our season has been over so time to talk offseason. Who do you want with the 2nd pick, and do you wanna keep Mularkey?

  • 1st Round- I'd rather trade back because I don't think there is a very good crop in the top 5. If we can't, then Jarvis Jones is an option. He looked soft the last two games so I'm a little weary, but there's really nobody else for an elite pass rusher except Mingo. Werner is too high at number two IMO. I like him, but he's not a dominate DE. We take a guy like him all the time it seems. Jones or trade back for Mingo

    If we do decide Jones is too soft, we can't trade back, and Werner is not worthy, then Luke Joeckel is my pick. Hard to go wrong with a big OT. He was outstanding for A&M this year and could be a foundation block for the future.

    My pick- Without trading back, OT Luke Joeckel

    2nd Round- I don't care what anyone says, we need a QB and Barkley might just be the best available in this draft. Last year he would have been a huge pick. Lane got a hold of him and tried to ruin his career. But even though he's injured, we could groom him for a year or two then hand him the reigns. You have to have a QB in this league to be successful and we don't have one. Barkley is a great value here. Please God no Tebow....please. I will be done with the Jags forever if this happens.

    3rd Round- Eddie Lacy is my pick. Done. If he falls to the third, pick his ass up.

  • We have similar wants in the draft; As of now I want Jarvis, then a QB (because of your reasons), then Lacy in the 3rd, but I doubt he's gonna fall there now. If Babin stays on for next year, I'd be thrilled with Joeckel in the first round. However, the pass rushing talent in the top 10 is insane this year, so it may be smart to pick one up

  • not a Jags fan but you guys just need to take the best player available. that team has so many holes its not funny. basically anybody but punter and placekicker.

    joeckel seems a reach at 2 but hes really good. im just not a fan of drafting OL that high. you guys are in a crappy spot because theres not a whole lot there to get excited about. you need a qb but maybe trade into the end of the 1st and get tyler wilson?

    Jax could literally just go best player available regardless of position the entire draft and do alright. the roster is that bad from all the awful picks your GM made.

    on a side note how did Mike Harris perform in your opinion this year? it looked like he got a bunch of playing time. i went to the detroit game and he was on the field a whole lot for a rookie 6th rounder

    If 4 sacks in 2 games (2 of which came against that bama OL) is soft then I'd ike to know who you think is tough

  • I want the Jags to get Jarvis. We also need a QB. Gabbert won't cut it. Blow the team up except for MJD and start from scratch. Gene smith really effed us!

    Mike Harris got beat a few times, but when he was in place he broke up the pass and I believe he two interceptions and a touchdown on a blocked kick against tennessee in the last game. Also The jags need a great pass rusher opposite of Babin, and there are plenty of them in this draft. I also agree we need a QB real bad, and I hope we do not pick up Tebow to just satisfy the gator and tebow fans.

    wow. thats brutal

    jags might want to just draft to fill positions other than qb. grab somebody like matt moore or alex smith to limp them along for a year or two til the qb pool gets a bit deeper. theres going to be a lot of teams making mistakes on qb picks this year
