  • Something in water ain't right. I'm sure Gamecocks will soon understand our frustrations and back us up on this one. I'm on my mobile so I can't link his latest tweet about him getting Mike to be a soft verbal to USC and reschedule his CU visit.

Mike was all Gata til big bro got involved. Looks like James is getting that kickback.

  • This has me a tad concerned, but not much. Mike has been sold on the Gamecocks for a while and loved his OV. I'm sure that after missing on a couple of prospects Dabo has asked James to turn up the heat on his brother. I'm also sure Mike wants to be respectful toward his brother. But, he's a Gamecock and i'm looking forward to watching him play in garnet.

Mike is a good back. He needs to stop playing games and honor his word.....or not give it.

I would rather he go to Clemson than UF or South Carolina.

I'd personally love to see him at CU giving FSU headaches. Kid is a certified stud and would've gotten carries down here in year one. I don't buy that Keith Marshall bs everybody is selling on why he decommitted. Yeah, it's water under the bridge at this point but Clemson is gonna slip up one of these days.

I could never figure out why he decommitted from UF either. Seemed like a perfect fit.

I don't think it had anything to do with Marshall either. He says he isn't scared of competition and I believe him.

I think it had more to do with UF being down to be honest. Bad mistake....they won't be for long. The core is there and when Muschomp gets done weeding out the riff raff and deadweight...........it's on. Two years tops.

I've heard a bunch of different reasons but it's hard to decipher between message board bs and actual facts. Mike, himself, was quoted saying the product on the field didn't turn him off and he knew we'd be back sooner rather than later.

The homer in me sees 9 wins next year. The realistic CFB fan says we'll win 7-8. The offense will go through its bumps in the road with another new OC and a first year starter at QB, few playmakers at wideout, unproven and injury prone RBs. We got some studs at TE and our OL should be a strength. As long as they can allow the D to get a breather every now and again we'll be alright. 2013 begins the rebound.

Mike is a hard read. If I was a Carolina fan, like my buddy Good News, I would be nervous until the fax comes in.

As for Florida, I see 9 wins. I like Brisset more than Driskell. He has a few minor kinks in his motion, but he has huge ups. Pease never had the talent he will inherit at UF. I am intrigued by the possibilities of the hire. Will UF be able to run the ball? If the answer is yes......the rebound starts earlier. Lots of bad habits to break on that side of the ball.

The defense is loaded with talent. I see them getting pretty strong by the end of the year.

  • If he makes the visit Gamecock fans better be nervous, because clemson has a way of getting top recruits to turn even after they just got whooped. Just look at Tonyt Steward he was all Nole until he visited clemson.

Our entire 2-deep on the offensive line is returning and our two prized OL recruits are already on campus in the S&C program. We SHOULD be able to run it. Gillislee has been waiting in line for his turn and he's got it now. Mack Brown is an unknown. Who knows with that kid. Heard he's battling dyslexia and that's why he struggles learning the plays and picking up blocks. FB Joyer has earned carries along with H-back Burton. All this sounds good but we won't find out if we can run til the pads come and the football starts flying.

I like Driskel over Brissett. Driskel has more upside, being bigger, stronger, faster. His eyes are just wide open right now and the game hasn't slowed down yet. I don't hate Brissett though and will be fine if he wins the job. He has the intangibles and the webos. Came into the situation with a 5* already in the mix. Neither are accurate throwing right now. This is where Pease will earn that paycheck.

Studs throughout the defense but no quality depth upfront. I envy the rotation MR and Todd have up there in Athens or JF and Stoops has in Tally-Ho and the Baton Rouge and Tusksaloosa depth. We also need downhill, big bodied LBs.

Ehh...I wouldn't be so worried. Mike hasn't wanted much to do with Clemson the entire process. If he does decide to take the visit then I can't blame him. You are only 18 once and only get recruited once. I think at the end of the day he will stay a Gamecock. He wants to play with Lattimore.

I still remember it like yesterday when Steward announced for Clemson. I called a buddy of mine right then and said it had to be money. It isn't a coincidence that all of these pictures of Clemson players with money end up on the web.

  • I do not have the article available to link but around late December/early January an article came out stating why Mike Davis de-committed from Florida.

It said that Mike Davis was told by the staff that they were only going to take 2 RB's in the class, him and another guy that was already committed yet they put on a full court press for Keith Marshall. Mike felt like he was lied to by the coaches.

Then Mike had his in-home visit with Florida coaches yet they only brought 1 coach. Mike later found out that when Florida had their in home with Keith Marshall they took their entire staff. That rubbed Mike the wrong way and he felt he could not trust the coaches at Florida and de-committed.

If I can find the article I will post it to back this up.
