Jeremy Johnson is not a Top247 player

The reason "that program" didn't push hard for Johnson is probably similar to the reason they didn't push hard for Winston last year until it was too late.

Which was because they had other prospects rated higher on their board... Similar situation.

  • What JC meant to say is that Cooper Bateman, Parker McLeod, and Luke Del Rio are exponentially better than that project that is Jeremy Johnson. It's clear to anyone not an auburn fan that Johnson isn't deserving of his four star status and is at best a work in progress. He'd be better suited playing tight end.

That's what JC meant to say.

  • Seen him play a few times this year.Notably versus Opelika. He is an athlete no doubt. He missed on a lot of easy passes. I think the prognosis of not being a polished passer fits correctly. While he may develop into a good qb is a definite possibility , he will need developing time. If he makes decisions slow at high school pace then the speed of the college game will trouble him . But to come here acting as if he is for sure the next Cam is hillarious. People forget Cam really only played 1 season after ultimately having 3 seasons to develop. And Kitemac Cam was just shy of a complete year in Auburn . I think to be almost exact 361 days .

Johnson has some potential, but I think you folks are really, really overstating him because you want him to be great. I understand that, but we have a job to do.

Did you know your site has him rated a 4 star 90? Do you do that for all players that have "potential"?

Jason Campbell was the 2000 recruiting class, we are currently on the 2013 recruiting class. Definitely > 10 years since AU recruited a QB out of HS that was drafted BRUH.

I'm just going to post this again and see if you have a rebuttal for any of it. I doubt you do because in this thread any aub is essentially a one-legged man in an ass kicking contest.

What is so horrible about it? Frazier was a higher rated HS QB and was supposed to be the second coming when he committed to Dumpster Fire U. Johnson is probably less polished as a passer at the same stage. AU fans say he "showed out" today. Only showing out he did was after Quick bailed him out by making a great adjustment to the ball in the air on that touchdown. A well thrown ball would have been caught by a wide open receiver on that play but instead was caught in traffic as the receiver was coming back to the ball. Horrible throw.
Johnson has great potential and an incredible frame but there is a reason that the top football program in the country didn't show him any interest even though he plays in their state.

The top program in the country doesn't like having black QBs. A black QB will never be the starter for Alabama under Saban. Hell, you're a fvcking moron if you think Parker McLeod is more worthy of an Alabama offer than Jeremy Johnson. Retard.

Ah, I see. I guess ridiculous statements like these are what a fan must resort to when he has no legitimate argument. And of course, name calling.
    P.S.
Cooper Bateman is more worthy of an offer than Johnson and it is very difficult to pick up more than one "big time" QB per class. Mcleod was a guy that we knew we could get after we got "our guy". Johnson is a very good recruit that was unlikely to come in and play second fiddle. He's a fantastic prospect but we had 3-5 players that were higher on our board and thus, he was not recruited.

  • Lol at his great throw... Did you guys watch the same game? That throw was terrible. He couldn't throw it far enough so Quick had to make a catch in between the defenders instead of by himself wide open.
