i think part of the reason we are going after a big recruiter is because we lost our other big recruiter in eddie gran and we needed another guy who could sell ice to eskimos.

im hoping our pisspoor ACC slate will give him time to get his feet under him as a playcaller. this is definately a big risk but it could payoff and it it doesnt its Jimbo's ass. risktakers are moneymakers so they say

Sunseri is key in all this. He and Pruitt would kind of form a single bad ass coach between them. They'd be on the same page and Sunseri just went through his first stab at major college DC work and so he'd be able to help Pruitt avoid a few pit falls maybe.

Main thing is that Pruitt could putt him in charge of all three LB positions and not have to worry one bit about it.

The only people talking about getting those guys on our board was posters not mods. I do not know where those posters sources were from though. They probably got it from one of our other sites like warchant, and bought it over here. Also Kirby was just a name on the hotboard being thown around like Stoops who we hired a few years ago.

Reports leaking now that Sunseri is in the fold. Not sure on LBs or DEs yet but we assume he'll get LBs because quite simply that's more positions on the field for him to influence.

Classic case of having to use titles to get the hotter name. Simply put FSU couldn't have gotten Pruitt with anything other than the DC title. I would assume Jimbo has told Pruitt that he and Sunseri should "work together" on game planning and play calling.

Rich Bissacia is now trending for our RBs and STs coordinator position. Unequivocally a better staff then what we had if we get Sunseri and Bissacia. Final hire, presumably at DE, would just need to be solid.

Probably a two year plan. Even the folks who run a 3-4 straight up admit it looks like a 4-3 much of the time. Jimbo won't be wanting to tweek too many things in one offseason.

Exactly. Bama had it's worst pass rush since 2007 and had to replace a crew of NFLers in the secondary. Plus, Pruitt was 37 years old during this campaign. He will be better next year and the year after.

Am I elated to get a coach at still such a learning stage? Not incredibly. But this guy won't be a one man staff trying to maintain the work of a true mastermind. Stoops is pretty overrated coming off the last 2 years.

I think that you are rolling the dice a little bit, Saban is in all honesty our DB coach, but lord knows he can recruit and learned from the best.

You get him along with Sunseri and you've done a hell of a job.

Defense isn't FSU's problem it's playcalling from Jimbo so FSU should hire a OC to replace Jimbo.

You should really consider the source, dude. Same guy who reported Gruden and Strong to UT as "done deals" to UT because his boss said so or some crap.

Do what the FSU board does, and ignore everything he says.
