  • Certainly not doing Michigan any favors with comments about "that" team. Don't think there will be any holding back as there was against Penn St and Michigan St out of respect for Paterno and D'Antonio this time around. Could now get ugly. Motivation has gone to another level.

Note: I know the MSU score was 49-7, but it could have easily been 70-7. Saban even got mad at Lacy's 50+ yd TD run up the middle to make it 49.

Already been discussed. Lincoln shot my friend. And if Alabama needs this for motivation to win the game, they won't. Players don't give a shart about what commissioners say. We can tell you were a big athlete in high school, and your source of motivation. That rival AD really fired you up.headslap

To which sentence are you referring? I see that I left the "it" out to begin a sentence as it is an understood subject in that case, but there isn't anything wrong with that.

The motivation is not always from the players. I know the players don't need anything to help them. The talent difference will decide the game and the gap is wide. There just won't be any calling off the dogs as it stands now.

I would expect Saban to understand that Coach Hoke and Michigan have nothing to do with what comes out of Delaney's mouth and Saban to show some class if the game started to get out of hand. I highly doubt that Saban would try to run up the score on Michigan because of something that came out of Delaney's mouth. That would be totally classless.

Better, the thing that cracks me up is youre not far removed from the Shula years.Saban is 60 and won't be there much longer....it's gonna come around again... The talent gap between you guys and Michigan isn't nearly as wide as you and Finebaum think...

  • Maybe, but I doubt it. It was Delaney, and not someone who is associated with the team or university.

It's about time Bama picked on someone its own size. Of course, it will be nice to have the chance to kick Saban around again. Bama too, actually. Just like old times.

Our own size? The only team that is our own size is LSU.

I admit I had a little to drink when I made the Delany comment, but from listening to Saban's PC when was asked about his comments, it was taken personal and I wouldn't doubt him wanting to send a message.

The talent gap isn't close though.

I will say that I seem to be the only person ITT that knows how to spell your own commissioner's name correctly.

Last night though.....I'll say drunk, but then again I have a great source.

Teams will use any little thing as bulletin board material and Bama will use this. Saban won't run the score up late, but he will bring all he's got for 3 quarters. I don't think Michigan can stay within two scores. But I like Hoke and like the direction of the program. They're just not ready yet.

  • Saban won't hesitate to run up the score, but it will have absolutely nothing to do with Delany. So many seem to forget that UM was part of the reason that Saban ran away from MSU; he already dislikes them.

Not true. Saban respects Michigan. If i remember correctly, he is willing to give the Michigan coaches pointers to stop Meyer's offense.

4 number 1 recruiting classes in 5 years...our 'off'' year was a top 5 class. The talent gap between the 2 teams and two conferences is ridiculous...there's a reason the pac 10 said no more sec in the 40's...It was because of Alabama.
Saban has plenty of good years left...when he leaves, alabama will find the best coach in america.

you mean 'ran away' for a better job...called 'upward mobility'...we do that in capitalist' countries.
Saban doesn't run up the score...he was pissed when eddie lacy (our 3rd string rb) ran for 65 yards early in the 4th quarter to make it 49 nothing against the big 10 champs. come on big ten...the way to recovery is admitting you suck....and have for 50 years.
