Gonna single handily win the Super bowl this year. Damn that guy can coach.

    Yup.

    MrWoodson

  • IMO he could take over an bcs program, and having them winning a national title in 6 years. this includes Duke, Vandy, Kentucky, etc...

How long was he at Stanford?

  • He was never going to Michigan post RR. We disrespected him badly during the RR search because he was only at a D2 program at the time so we said no thanks.

I think he also was not happy with the academic advisors during his time at Michigan.

He's an amazing coach and I wonder what if we ended up with him instead of RR.

just 3 I believe. They probably would have won it all last season if he was still there.

Had he chosen to stay in college, he would have stayed at Stanford. Boosters were prepared to make him the highest paid coach in all of college football.

Saban gets on his knees every night & thanks God, that Harbaugh did not end up at a college where he could reel in elite talent, cause Harbaugh would own him. Harbaugh is the best football coach on the planet at any level. PERIOD!!

Yeah...don't really think Saban is scared of anyone. He has a well-oiled machine going right now. Would have been a great match-up between the two if Harbaugh didn't tuck tail and run to the NFL! He couldn't ever get past Oregon anyway....his D's were too slow.

    bigwilly64

  • Yea I know that. I was just adding other reasons why he was not coming to Michigan the second chance.

Geez, tBB has Harbaugh's salty balls all up in their collective mouths. The guy is great, but making a statement like the above is a little overboard.

Yeah he is. Sabs shite the bed in the pros. He also shite the bed at MSU. Dantonio is doing a far better job than Nicky boy. Dude was only ever good at LSU & Bama, where he could
over sign, grey shirt & do all the underhanded sec tactics. Dude is not as great as people
think he is. Harbaugh is leaps & bound better & it aint even close.

I like Hoke, but I still want Harbaugh. The guy is a ridiculous coach and plays classic power football.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him end his career at Michigan in 5-10 years after Hoke retires.

Michigan would have made him a rich man too, the Dolphin's owner is a big time booster and was willing to pay him $6 million a year to coach at Michigan.

You aren't giving Saban enough credit, he is a hell of a coach. I think he really learned how to coach after MSU and the talent level he was able to get at LSU helped him build a reputation of a winner.

Yeah but. He is no where near as good of a football coach than Harbaugh. If he was he'd still be in Miami. He bounced, because he knew he had a couple more years to go 7-10 & he'd be shit canned. So he ran with his tail between his legs to Bama. Harbaugh took a 6-10 team
to the NFC championship game & look how good they are, they have to be the favorite to win the SB right now. Saban could never dream of that. Harbaugh> Saban & it really is not close.

The Dolphins are the worst run franchise top to bottom in the league can't fault Saban for the job he did there, Harbaugh didn't want that Dolphins job even though they offered him more money.

I'm not saying Saban is better than Harbaugh, just that you aren't giving Saban enough credit. The guy has won 2 out of the last 3 national championships.

Keep telling yourself that. If Harbaugh was coaching at an SEC school, your boy would be blowing whoever he had to, to get the Cleveland job whenever they fired him to get away from Harbaugh.

You're impossible. Can we let Harbaugh win just ONE championship of any kind before anointing him the GOAT? Did the guy ever beat Oregon? Saban made adjustments after getting beaten by a similar team in FL....Harbaugh never was able to pull that trick against Oregon IIRC.

That wasn't the Dolphins offering him the job, that was the owner, Stephon Ross, trying to get him to take the Michigan job.
